I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on autism and associated conditions (e.g., sensory processing difficulties, anxiety, ADHD, communication challenges, insecure attachment patterns). I am particularly interested in early detection and intervention with young children using a relationship-based and play-based model. To this end, I have specialized training in early autism assessment using the ADOS-2 and early intervention using DIR/Floortime.
My 30 years experience has taught me to put parents first. My training in Developmental Psychology, Infant Mental Health, and Clinical Neuropsychology has taught me to value collaboration with developmental pediatricians, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, developmental psychiatrists/neurologists, developmental therapists, and school advocates/personnel for the strongest outcome.
I also provide parenting intervention during the prenatal period, including doula support. In addition, clients have the option to participate in an animal therapy program.
