I approach therapy from a relational, psychodynamic model, meaning the relationship between client and therapist can be a healing vessel in your therapeutic process. I pull from attachment theory, neuroscience, somatic approaches, and utilize EMDR in my work. My therapeutic approach also draws from my personality, which integrates humor, playfulness, and authenticity. I am now licensed in both California and Washington and am accepting WA & CA clients virtually.

Now Accepting New Clients... I work with adult individuals. My approach centers on creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your story at your own pace. Many people come to therapy feeling weighed down by thoughts, emotions, or patterns that no longer reflect who they want to be. Together, we’ll gently unpack these layers and focus on reconnecting you with your strengths, values, and sense of empowerment. My work is guided by hope and collaboration, with the intention of supporting clients to connection to themselves and build more confidence in their relationships and daily lives.

My focus in the therapeutic relationship is to work along side someone who wants to examine the many parts of their life in every aspect from their thoughts, feelings, family dynamics, current relationships, and where they would like to be headed. We often find ourselves attached to one identity in an attempt to preserve the expectations of others, losing sight of the other complexities that make up our whole self. With deep desires to meet the needs of others, whether family, school, work, or in relationships, we forget to establish and nourish our own needs.

The opening of Dante's Inferno reads "Midway upon the journey of our life, I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost." This story of a person's journey through hell became a classic because all of us have found, at one time or another, that the straight path in our lives has been lost, and that we are alone in a dark forest. Do you feel lost? When we look a little closer, we begin to understand that most of the darkness around us is self-created. That forest was cultivated with the seeds of our past experience.

Did you spend your childhood walking on eggshells, suppressing your needs and true self to manage someone else’s moods and keep the peace? As an adult, do you tend toward people-pleasing or over-functioning at the expense of yourself? Have trouble setting boundaries or saying "no"? Fear that you are “too much” or “not enough?” Struggle to identify or express your emotions? If this sounds like you, you don't have to carry this all on your own. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, set boundaries, and live in a way that is more fully aligned with your values. I'd be honored to support you on this journey. Let's connect!

I specialize in working with people who are struggling with substance use concerns and problems related to past traumatic events. I also see clients for problems related to depression, anxiety, divorce, and other concerns. With all clients, I maintain a "systemic" view: that is, understanding your concerns, and their solutions, in their context. For most, context includes your family, work, cultural values, spiritual beliefs (or lack of), and individual history.

I believe that the client is the expert of their own lives. We have survived and evolved as a species through connection. Starting where you are in your wellness journey reflects bravery, strength, vulnerability, and resilience. Combined with my years of clinical and personal experience with mental health and neurodivergent life management, we can work collaboratively to cultivate greater ease, deeper understanding, and meaningful connection as we navigate the complexity and humility of being human.

Therapy is a big step so I want you to feel comfortable in the decision of whether we're a good fit for what you're needing. Therapy is a unique space to heal painful wounds, interact with unhealthy patterns of relationships in an effort to create more fulfilling ones, improve communication, and open yourself to new and better experiences and relationships. I currently work with adult individuals and couples around attachment issues, intimacy struggles, identity development, sexual trauma/shame, grief, and more. I have extensive experience working with men’s issues, executives, LGBTQ+, and entrepreneurs.

Accepting new clients in April! Living with anxiety is hard, and chances are you've really tried to manage it on your own. Maybe you have a general sense of worry all the time, or maybe something specific brings it on. Either way, you want to feel better. Ignoring it and pretending to be fine isn't working anymore. On top of the exhaustion and overwhelm, you might worry there's something wrong with you. At this point, your anxiety is giving you anxiety! What if you felt in control? What if you were your own biggest cheerleader rather than worst critic? What if you could live a full, bright life without anxiety holding you back?

When I am introduced to a new client, I want to know why the client has chosen therapy and what needs and goals the client has. Once we discuss this then we will determine the path that we should use to meet those goals. Normally I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior therapy or Cognitive Behavior Therapy because I feel that these two types of therapy work well with a variety of issues. I strongly believe in a strength based client focused type of therapy. Everyone has inner strength and I would help you identify those strengths

I am a clinician who strongly believes in the importance of authentic human connection and a feeling of belonging. In today's world, it can feel isolating in both physical & emotional ways, sometimes resulting in unfamiliar/uncomfortable feelings. The good news is that those feelings don't have to be permanent and you are capable of learning coping skills to manage them. My background includes working with diverse populations and age ranges. From those experiences, I draw from a person centered, strength based perspective. I strive to honor who you are, where you've been and what experiences have helped to shape you.
