For the past 25 years, I have worked as a licensed psychotherapist with a PhD. I have been helping those who are searching for crystal clear waters, wanting inner peace and seeking integrity. It is within this context that the healthy mind will gravitate light of all kinds. Whereas, the sick mind will stumble in the darkness. I invite you to come and see me. We can do it! If there is a will there is a way. Let’s celebrate our positive and erase the negatives.

My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and adults who are seeking clarity and support for challenges related to autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental or mental health concerns. Many are navigating questions about identity, struggling with attention, sensory differences, or social connection, and may have experienced trauma or marginalization. They are often looking for answers—hoping to understand themselves better, find validation for their experiences, and discover strengths that may have been overlooked.

I love working with people who are curious and open to change. I work with all types of people exploring thoughts, feelings, and how life looks to them. Anxiety, worry, relationship issues or stress about the past or future are common topics of discussion. Sound familiar? Are you wanting to explore a better way to see life then how it looks to you right now?
Many, but not all, of my clients are neurodivergent (ADHD, Autistic or AuDHD). Some people are curious if this describes their lived experience, but with so much information out there it can be hard to sort through. I help people dive in and explore this topic.

You long for deep and profound healing. You've tried traditional therapy and had some success - but can't seem to unlock certain patterns or heal from certain traumas. You've heard of IFS (Internal Family Systems) Therapy - your friend recommended it - you've listened to some podcasts, read No Bad Parts. Instead of going to weekly therapy and waiting months for meaningful progress, what if you could set aside 2 or 3 days, just to focus on yourself and your healing? What if you could finally free yourself from limiting beliefs, raw and painful emotional wounds, and coping in unhealthy ways?

Hello! If you’re seeking an open-minded, compassionate, and supportive listener for yourself or a loved one, I would be honored to work with you. I understand how difficult it can be to choose a counselor—I’ve navigated that process myself—and I know how vulnerable it can feel to reach out.
My priority is to create a space that feels safe, relaxed, and free from judgment—a place where you can speak openly, explore new ways of being, and gently challenge anxious or unhelpful thoughts. Together, we can work through questions of meaning, purpose, and personal growth at your own pace.

We live in a complicated and challenging society and then, we have ourselves to deal with. Therapy is a good way to understand yourself on a deeper level so you can grow to your full potential and change the things that need to be changed. By doing so, we not only heal ourselves, but we are then a benefit to others in our life and to the world in general. I think I can help with that no matter where you are in the process.

Many of us drag our pasts along with us like a ball and chain that clanks loudly whenever we move; we are never able to forget those events and traumas because every time we try to change, the loud noise reminds us of all the things that have hurt us. So…what if we really acknowledge the past, and the terrible hurts, and then grasp, viscerally, that there is nothing we can do about what has happened? What if we ask ourselves if we have to continue to be hurt, to replay old issues and be triggered by them, and let them continue to run, and perhaps even ruin, our lives?

My approach to therapy stems from the belief that we humans are social creatures who long to feel connected and supported by others in meaningful, nurturing relationships. It can be easy, especially in this day and age, to find ourselves feeling isolated and disconnected from others, or even from ourselves. My hope is that our work together can provide a safe and comforting place for you to find your way back to healthy connection with yourself and others.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
