Healing through Science and Spirituality. I help talented professionals and creatives discover their life purpose and find meaning. We live in an increasingly complex and stressful world. Many people are suffering under the weight of societal pressures and expectations, which separate us from the heart of what it means to be human living an intentional life. I work with people who struggle to make sense of themselves and their lives. Many have achieved a secure and abundant life, having gained success in careers and fields that provide for their material needs, but their souls are feeling restless and craving real nourishment.

My experience is heavily rooted in Forensic Mental Health. I've spent a total of 8 years working between the court and jail. The last 5 years were spent in King County Correctional Facility as a Psychiatric Evaluation Specialist. I was the primary clinician responsible for the treatment of the incarcerated women on the psych unit. I did a significant amount of work with our suicidal unit and was responsible for conducting the 4 hour suicide trainings assigned to all new staff and officers in the jail. I value the complexity of the human experience and strive to provide a safe non judgmental space for clients to heal.

After a hot summer and long hours, you are starting to feel the cooler weather approaching. Summer lends work, so you bury yourself in it for a season. Keeping busy allows you to ignore all the b.s. from your past and anxieties towards the future. That’s why summers are awesome, you get to chase overtime and there is plenty of sunlight to do it. Folks begin getting laid off, and you might be next. With the cooler weather comes shorter days and way too much time to think. You get bombarded with thoughts you didn’t really even have time to think all summer. They start creeping in.

Life and our relationships with ourselves and others is not always what we imagined or hoped, and sometimes we don’t know how we got here or what to do to get unstuck. Therapy can be a powerful tool to invest in to gain insights and make change. It can be a place to grow, heal, and transform to live a life more in alignment with our desires. As a therapist, my role is to walk beside you (with patience, humor, and compassion) by offering reflection, reframing, inquiry, and validation as you uncover your strengths, clarify your needs, and move toward a life more aligned with your intentions and values.

I approach therapy as a collaborative relationship between myself and my clients. My approach to therapy adheres to core principles of effective mental health care. The emphasis on collaboration is particularly valuable - it empowers clients as active participants in their healing journey rather than passive recipients of care. Real life issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and vocational uncertainty can be heavy loads if we must carry them alone. I appreciate every person's situation and am honored to help them in becoming their best self.
I also am a Supervisor for LMHCA clinicians. Inquire for more information.

Change does not happen overnight. It is a process that happens by taking small steps towards a goal every day. This is done by improving communication, learning & understanding an individual’s past, beliefs or culture can affect one’s behavior, views & emotions, building up self-worth, being validated when family members address issues from the past or present.
