There are many reasons you may be seeking therapy: guidance during a life transition, support managing overwhelming emotions, a want to reflect and explore your identity, help navigating relationships, or self-preservation while navigating systems of oppression. I provide individual therapy to adults and teens in Washington state. I specialize in working with queer, trans, non-binary folks, especially QPOC (queer people of color). Additionally, I work with people navigating life transitions, identity exploration, religious trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

What does support look like for you today? Naming the stress, the difficulty, the imbalance, the pain, the frustration-that's how I like to begin our conversation. Enter the safe and private space in our therapy together, and we will find the courage to feel, hold, and explore the problems. We might even chop, stir, provoke, and push the problem and find what is beneath it, and certainly finish our session knowing what you want to work on in our next meeting.

I work with people who are tired of carrying the weight of perfection and constantly putting others first. On the outside, they may appear successful and “fine,” but inside, they feel disconnected, drained, and unsure of what they truly want. Many cope with stress through food, alcohol, or other habits. In our work together, I help clients slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. They learn to set healthy boundaries, put their needs first without guilt, and respond to emotions in ways that feel supportive instead of overwhelming. If this resonates with you, you’re not alone, and you are in the right place.

Today's young adults have the ability to enact positive change in the world around us. With years of experience in supporting children, teens, and adults achieve their full potential and navigate rough patches, allow me to lend a hand. I view you as the expert on yourself, and come alongside as a coach to support and guide you in your journey. With families and children I utilize a team-based approach. All young adults can use an extra person in their corner to help navigate childhood, and I believe that working as a team with the family system allows for family members to grow and learn together.

Feelings and behaviors can become obstacles to accessing your strength. If you don't accept yourself as you are, you can't change-a paradox, but true. Self-acceptance can be difficult, especially with history of abuse, trauma, or oppression in which shame/guilt become integral to your sense of self. Destructive behavior, in whatever form, has its own logic, but is understandable given your history. We cope in ways that serve to protect ourselves in childhood-serving a useful purpose back then. But now, they prevent you from having stable, close relationships and feeling an empowered sense of self.

Perinatal mental health is complex: I’m here to make it easier to understand. I work with individuals and families navigating the perinatal period — from trying to conceive through the first year postpartum. Clients include birthing individuals experiencing postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, and the identity shifts of early parenthood, as well as nonbirthing partners navigating their own transition. Many arrive feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or unlike themselves. Through individual, partner, and group therapy, I help clients build skills, find community, and reconnect with themselves.

I work best with people who feel disconnected in their relationships. Many have tried therapy and left feeling unchanged. Some carry trauma they never unpacked. Most are simply ready for life to feel easier. You want someone who listens, doesn’t judge, and helps you understand what you feel. You want tools so your emotions stop running your life and relationships. You want relief that lasts. Most people come to me because they feel stuck in patterns they can’t shake. They shut down, react fast, or disconnect without meaning to. These responses usually started as protection, but now they get in the way.

I'm glad you're taking time to care for yourself. Change is not easy especially as the demands of life stand firm. You may be here because of stress, self-doubt, big life changes, conflicts with family/loved ones, burnout, or an overall sense of feeling weighed down. It's human to struggle. As your therapist, I hold deep curiosity for who you are and how you've come to be you. My goal is creating a safe place for authentic expression to find a way through your challenges that honors your values, needs, and desires - not just what pleases or satisfies the outside world.

I have experience working with all sorts of different people in all sorts of different walks of life. I love the variety. If I had to pick an ideal client, I tend to work well with head first, heart second (but not less) sort of people. My background roots are in philosophy, my interests are in the mystic, and my love is the human experience - all of it. My clients come to me for a slew of reasons, but the overall gist of it is they want to enjoy life. That typically means creating a better life, or living the life they have already, but better, or a combination of the two. I like to come along for a while to support that process.

I work with parents and caregivers who are motivated to improve relationships and restore harmony to their lives. Do you wish your kid(s) would just cooperate? Are you tired of yelling, using bribery and/or punishment? Perhaps you've tried one or more of the popular parenting approaches, but without lasting success. Parenting children and adolescents is hard work, but it can also be fun and rewarding. I help parents who love their children, to like their children.

I truly believe that we have the innate capacity to heal ourselves, & within us, the keys necessary to accessing our own true nature. We can be cut off from our own wisdom, preventing us from accessing & recognizing our strengths, our gifts, our love, our joy - the very essence of what we have to offer the world. My role as therapist is supportive and collaborative, towards helping you to discover...& recover...missing or lost pieces. I employ an intersectional lens to my areas of interest which include identity work, spirituality, trans & LGBQI issues, grief & loss, anxiety, & depression.
