I am currently unable to accept new clients. Stress is a normal part of life, but when we don't feel we have the resources to handle it, it can become distress . Sometimes we just need someone to walk alongside us through a rough patch, or face a major change or unexpected circumstances that surprise and overwhelm us. Other times, the burden of anxiety or depression can be too much to carry alone. Hope and healing is possible in a safe, accepting environment. I work with individuals, couples and families to resolve conflict, address boundaries and identity issues, navigate life transitions, and restore relationships.
I specialize in supporting individuals and families with health issues: serious diagnoses, chronic illness, disability, end-of-life issues; exploring coping strategies, quality of life issues, and anxiety and depression resulting from or causing impaired health. Whether emotional or physical, we deal with the pain and find meaning and perspective.
My perspective on hope and healing is influenced by my Christian faith. I believe there is always a choice that empowers change, that grace brings hope, and loving acceptance is healing and foundational. I have special training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, a clinically proven modality for healing and restoring relationships.
