Drawing from my own life experiences of overcoming obstacles has given me a confidence and unique perspective when working with my clients. While working in a facility for at risk youth, participating on a Central Oregon crisis team, and being a parent of two young boys as well, has made me aware of the struggles adults and children are facing every day. I carry concerns for others close to my heart. My passion is to help turn one’s Trauma, Mental Health issues and overall life struggles into an experience that can be used to encourage self-growth and improved life functioning. Which is why Simply Wild Counseling was created.

If you are looking for a therapist, it is likely you are ready to experience some change in your life. I provide trauma-focused psychotherapy which can guide you into both transformation and healing. You may be suffering with symptoms of depression, trauma, chronic pain, and anxieties. When you reach out for help, feeling better is an inevitable outcome. Often, when you begin to more mindfully experience your inner world, you may feel more emotional intensity before you feel better. My therapy approach is holistic in the sense that I acknowledge and work with the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

I am currently accepting new teen and young adult clients (ages 13-25)! My approach to therapy is a deeply relational one. Recognizing that we can’t heal from our wounds unless our pain is held, honored, and met with compassion, yet sometimes we need encouragement to bravely step towards difficult spaces in our lives, I strive to find the most effective balance between challenge and compassion with each unique individual I work with.

I am drawn to working with individuals who may not yet recognize the strength that lives within them. Often, these are people who have known passion, joy, and deep love, yet find themselves feeling frozen, disconnected, or longing for freedom from their current struggles. If you sense that there is more to your life but feel unsure how to access it, you are not alone, and you do not have to navigate that journey by yourself. I value authenticity and genuine connection, and I enjoy working with clients who are willing to courageously explore both their pain and build their capacity.

You may be worrying your partner might leave, or feeling the distance growing between you. Misunderstandings turn into recurring conflict, and resentment has built over time. When issues come up, you escalate or shut down — leaving you both overwhelmed and stuck in the same ineffective patterns. Despite it all, you care deeply and want this to work. You’re ready to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, rebuild trust, and feel connected again. I help couples break these cycles and create a relationship that feels secure, supportive, and deeply connected.

The many paths of my career have brought me to realize working with people and finding opportunities to foster growth and healing is how I'm wired. I've worked with families, teens, adults, couples, and chronologically mature individuals in a number of different locations and roles over the years. If you are willing to explore and be curious about your thoughts, emotions, and history, I believe that is a solid footing to make progress in the barriers in life.

Now accepting clients with in-person (Bend) and telehealth appointments. I work with couples and individuals who are feeling exhausted in their lives and relationships. It can feel overwhelming to keep giving your best while wondering how things will ever change. I want you to know change is possible. I help folks untangle and communicate the roots of their struggle. Instead of just talking about your feelings, we pay attention to what you’re experiencing in the moment: thoughts, emotions, and body signals. We collaborate to create a clear map to embody and enact real change.
