I’m currently accepting new clients and offer a warm, collaborative space where we work together, guided by what matters most to you. I know how heavy it can feel to be overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, exhausted, or disconnected, and you don’t have to carry that alone. Together, we move with care and intention—building awareness, reflecting on patterns, and taking meaningful steps toward change at a pace that feels right for you. I take an integrated approach that honors the connection between mental and physical health, supporting resilience, clarity, and sustainable well‑being in ways that truly fit your life.

Hello, my name is Annette Pelletier, clinical therapist and founder of Mustang Magic Equine Therapy Services. I have learned this life we live is often littered with hardships and challenges which can negatively impact how we navigate the world in which we live in and the relationships we have developed along the way. We all require connection and a sense of love and belonging with others, which can sometimes feel so far away when we are lost in feelings of guilt and shame. Traumatic events in our lives often interfere with our ability to feel connected and safe with others, and even with ourselves.

Watching a person experience a “light-bulb” moment and realize that their pattern of thinking and/or behavior has been a struggle for them is why I'm most passionate about being a therapist. Clients often come into their first session feeling afraid, full of shame or guilt, and a general sense of being stuck. At times, when life becomes difficult or overwhelming, and we are afraid to reach out, this can feel like we are climbing an up hill battle. With a strong and trusting relationship, a genuinely safe space, and emotional support, recovery and living life to the fullest is not just possible, but also probable.

I believe that everyone has the ability to live a balanced and fulfilling life. Change is inevitable and natural. During challenging times, we seek the path back to our inner wisdom. As a school counselor and teacher for twenty five years, I learned a great deal about how unique our learning and personality styles are. I enjoy helping adults embrace who they are to gain clarity, improve relationships, cope with stress, and regain a sense of well-being.

Deep inside each of us is a reservoir of wisdom, of knowing what is true for us. Granted, that inner wisdom maybe be layered over with negative messages, unexamined beliefs acquired years ago, noise from the busy-ness of our lives and the chaos of the world, or personal doubt, lack of confidence, confusion. Being present in the body so that we can access that inner wisdom is a crucial aspect of counseling and doing so can help us find the way forward in life. Learning to be fully present in the moment is a gift we can give ourselves as we live our lives and move toward healing and well-being.

Most people don’t come to therapy because life is mildly inconvenient. They come because the engine light is on and the tires are bald. If you’re high-functioning on the outside but quietly coming unglued on the inside — exhausted from holding it together or carrying wounds that still ache — there is space for you here. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and other challenges. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQ+. I offer an affirming space to explore identity, relationships, family dynamics, and the impact of environments that have asked you to suppress or deny who you are.

I work with families, couples or individuals irrespective of diagnosis or the presenting problem. I'm interested in the person, not the label. From my perspective, psychotherapy is a collaboration. It has been referred to as the "talking cure" because it heals through conversation. Putting troubling thoughts, emotions, and memories into words enables them to be felt and understood more deeply, to be borne with greater resilience, and to facilitate wiser choices. The privacy, boundaries, empathy, and safety of the therapeutic relationship can enable even the most shameful and frightening feelings to be faced and worked through.

We all have ways of getting through the day. Sometimes, though, the things we use to cope—avoidance, denial, toxic relationships, or addictive behaviors—start to cause more pain than they solve. If you feel like your "survival mode" has become a trap, you aren't alone. You likely want to break free from these cycles but feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or the weight of past grief. You are looking for a path toward a meaningful life that feels stable and authentic. You’ve spent long enough just trying to survive; let’s work together to help you start living again!

Making the decision to go to a counselor/psychotherapist is a true act of courage. I honor you for taking this courageous step. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with all types of addictions ie alcohol, drugs, sex, food, gambling. I view addictions in a broader sense to include self defeating thought patterns, love/relationship addiction, hoarding, internet use, procrastination. Addictions are about avoiding pain and getting trapped in a repetitive cycle of thoughts and behaviors that result in more pain and regret. I provide my clients with a roadmap to follow as they seek to reclaim their self-esteem, integrity and joy.
