Hello, I am a therapist who specializes in trauma and trauma-related issues. I have worked successfully with many people who struggle to fully heal from past difficulties from different periods of their lives. I have also helped individuals who have faced family transitions, or emotionally damaging situations from childhood, or early childhood. There is not just one single issue or symptom that I work with; instead I have found that trauma can present itself in many different ways. Depression, anxiety, relational problems, shame, avoidance, and addictions (to name a few), all can result from past losses and emotional wounds.

I love working with people in all different kinds of relationship models and partnerships sort through the difficulty that is staying connected. I believe that our connections to others, especially our loved ones, are the largest influence on whether we lead fulfilling and happy lives. I want to help partners navigate improving their relationship or deciding to compassionately part ways.

We are an integrative mental health clinic that offers a broad range of therapies with both Counselors and Naturopaths. This holistic approach allows patients to experience healing at a biological and emotional level with a team of collaborative caregivers that surpasses the use of just a therapist or just medication or just any one thing. Everybody has a story. Often our stories about ourselves and others are formulated when we are very young, trying to make sense of what is going on around us. These stories are often untrue. However, the negative narrative continues into adulthood. I use therapy approaches and techniques that help clients re-author a different story about themselves, others and events that might have occurred. When this healing process occurs, I am inspired as a witness to my clients' transformation as they take steps from struggle to healing. I have been in practice for over 30 years and am a provider on all private insurance plans.

I work with people of all ages and am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, substance abuse and eating disorders. I enjoy working with adults who are rethinking longstanding patterns, struggling with family-of-origin issues, or adjusting to unanticipated changes in their lives. I see these transitions as opportunities for growth, healing, and the development of greater awareness. I also work with children and teens and bring creativity, experience and common sense to this work. I work with couples and families, especially those experiencing conflict, transitions, or struggles related to loss, trauma, divorce, remarriage, or shifting roles.

I strive to provide a safety net in therapy, free from judgment and shame, so that my clients feel safe to explore their relational and erotic desires, practice articulating their needs and boundaries in relationships, and touch on any shadowy parts that need attention and grace. As well as being able to provide general individual and couples support in therapy, I have specialized education and training in working with sexual concerns related to sexual dysfunctions, painful sex, shame or anxiety around sex, and improvement in pleasure. I bring a calm, knowledgeable, and sex positive presence to our exploration of sexual intimacy.

ADHD and Autism each bring unique challenges, from difficulty focusing and impulsivity to struggles in social interactions and sensory sensitivities. These conditions can make everyday tasks feel overwhelming. My practice is devoted to understanding the individual needs of those with ADHD and Autism, providing a supportive environment to explore these challenges. Together, we'll work on strategies to navigate daily life with greater ease, aiming to enhance your ability to engage with the world around you in a more fulfilling way.

Grief and trauma. When experienced, these can define us. But it doesn’t have to be that way. People are also shaped by their families and culture, their experiences, and the stories they create about themselves. I too have experienced grief and trauma and through our work together, I will help you find your voice and create a new narrative – one of empowerment and self-acceptance.

I work from a depth psychological perspective which means that I address the cause of symptoms as much as the symptoms themselves.
