As a Mindfulness-Based Therapist, people come to me because they want to be heard, and I provide a safe and welcoming space where their voice is heard with respect and a non judgmental approach. I am skilled in listening not just to the spoken word, but also to the body and non verbal expressions. An essential component of my approach is to demonstrate and work with my clients on developing acceptance and compassion to themselves and others.
Everyone who seeks therapy for medical, personal and interpersonal reasons is welcome to my clinic. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

Maybe anxiety is running your life more than you'd like. Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same painful relationship patterns, wondering why it keeps happening. Or you're struggling with a grief that just won't lift.
What I've come to understand, working with people over two decades, is that these struggles usually have roots — old pain that never fully resolved, still shaping how you feel and how you live. And that's where real change tends to happen.

When anxiety, health concerns, or life transitions feel overwhelming, it’s understandable to feel stuck or overwhelmed. Therapy offers a space to slow down, breathe, and untangle what’s been weighing on you. Together, we’ll explore patterns that no longer serve you, ease emotional stress, and develop tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and at peace. As your therapist, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can explore the impact of stress and anxiety on your life and work together to help you build clarity, strengthen your sense of self, and develop emotional resilience.

As an experienced adolescent therapist, I am passionate about helping teens and young adults figure out who they are, who they want to be, and the barriers keeping them from realizing these goals. I have assisted hundreds of adolescents through academic challenges, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, substance use, ADHD, traumatic experiences, social anxiety and divorce. We work together to develop healthy ways to manage our emotional life, identify strengths which can support self-confidence and motivation, and learn to trust we are worthy of the love and connection we want in our relationships.

I specialize in working with trauma and anxiety; relationship issues, stressful life transitions, and issues of an existential nature; and people who are queer/trans, poly/ENM, kinky, and neurodivergent. I hold a strong social justice framework and honor each client’s autonomy and the culturally-sensitive aspects of their experience. My practice is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, sex-positive, and present-focused.
When someone comes to counseling it’s because they want something to change. I believe change happens by trying to be who we are rather than trying to be different.

People come to see me because they are experiencing psychological distress and/or interpersonal difficulties. The in-depth look at these issues not only leads to symptom relief but to longterm change of dysfunctional and painful (sometimes unconscious) ways we may perceive and judge ourselves and to recognize and build on strengths. I enjoy being a psychotherapist in part because it is satisfying and exciting to see people become more insightful, effective and confident in each of the important areas of their lives. I have been doing this work for 35+ years and plan to continue for up to 10 years.

Many of us carry unprocessed pain from untold stories. This pain can make us feel stuck and show up as symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. My role is to provide a space for clients to share their stories, and process thoughts, emotions, and experiences on a deeper level. This will hopefully lead clients towards a sense of clarity, a stronger sense of identity and self-worth, and personal progress. I also provide guidance for holistic coping skills to manage symptoms and daily stressors.

Just being human in this world can be confusing, exhausting and heartbreaking. We all feel stuck sometimes—in old patterns, painful feelings, anxious thoughts, or harsh beliefs about ourselves or others. And therapy is a great place to change those things. But I believe the true magic of therapy is in learning to feel—really feel in your bones—how whole and worthy you actually are, no matter how stuck or broken you might feel today. My job is to support and challenge you to get to know and accept all parts of yourself (yes, even that harsh inner critic). Together, we'll heal old wounds so you can feel more balanced and integrated.

Leadership Skills, Performance Enhancement and Life Coaching. I am confident in the ability of the individual to change. We all face many difficult challenges in life, but these can become opportunities for growth and personal development. Most of us have never really learned the optimal skills and strategies to deal with these challenges. After 30 years working with individuals from a great variety of economic, educational and cultural backgrounds, I have found that identifying and letting go of our old, unproductive coping strategies, and replacing them with new ways of engaging with the world, allows us to live in a more rewarding and productive fashion.

Most of my clients are wrestling with some combination of anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. In addition, they are often struggling to figure out what in life is most meaningful and important for them. With other clients, their life goals and values may be clear, but they find themselves running into psychological barriers such as fear and avoidance. In an ideal world I would want all my clients to be able to say that they have never felt more understood and, simultaneously, that they have never felt more challenged -- always in a safe and respectful environment.

I’m a psychotherapist who helps people impacted by traumatic stress. People who need a partner to help calibrate the weight of their worries. Exhausted and overwhelmed we feel so alone … industrialized cultural vacuums increase fear and shame. It can feel like no one could possibly untangle your predicament. We speak up even less or maybe become frantic with demands and urges to soothe. We doubt self even more. We get stuck on “what do I need to do” to make this stop? Counseling can lighten the burden of difficult experiences. Partnering on communication, resourcing, and education can provide some early relief.

We provide compassionate, trauma informed counseling services for adults, families, and couples. We believe in meeting people where they are at and helping them go to the difficult, painful, often scary parts of their lives to undo aloneness and bring a little light to the dark places.

Feeling foggy or like you're in a bad dream? Feeling detached from your body or your joy? I'm passionate about helping clients feel more present and embodied whether they're grieving, dissociated (DPDR), or burned out.
My identities as a queer, bi-racial (white & Latina) woman guide my effort to practice through an intersectional and decolonial lens while still acknowledging my immense privilege. Transparency can build safety and I aim to be open about my values. Some of those values include: a free Palestine, immigration as a human right regardless of status, gender affirming care, pro-choice, harm reduction, and anti-racism.
