In-person & Lyra. The day begins with feeling inadequate. Next comes "This will never change" and "I wish I was different.” These thoughts come frequently. It feels like a vicious cycle. Negative thoughts create hopelessness which then leads to isolation and disconnect from friends and co-workers. You find yourself alone at home on Friday nights. The exercise routines are few and far between. You eat foods you shouldn't (and then you feel guilty). The shame comes next. You feel stuck, and the negative thoughts become more intense. You’ve tried making changes but they have been difficult to maintain. So you stop. It feels hopeless.

I've been practicing therapy for over 20 years and am consistently in awe of the process. What an honor to come alongside women, teens, individuals, couples, parents, and college-age students and see improvement. I specialize with women’s issues and healing from unhealthy patterns such as: people pleasing, trouble setting boundaries, saying no, codependency, anxiety & depression. It is a privilege to be intentional, and helpful when people need it most, whether wading through challenging circumstances, navigating a desire to change a behavior, or processing overwhelming emotions. Sessions take place in person & via telehealth.

If you’re here, chances are life feels heavy. Maybe you’re stuck, unsure of what direction to take, or just worn down by the challenges of a world that often feels hard to live in. Therapy can give you a safe place to breathe and release what you’ve been holding inside. Therapy with me means learning useful skills for daily struggles, having a safe and judgment-free place to talk, and discovering perspectives that bring light and hope, even if your circumstances stay the same.

You may feel stuck, disconnected, or burdened by past experiences. Each person carries a sacred story, and sometimes the pages feel heavy or unclear. Anxiety, relational strain, or a sense of not feeling like yourself can feel overwhelming, and past trauma may play a role. You long to feel grounded, connected, and aligned with who you truly are. It is an honor holding space in the difficult chapters as well as celebrating the blissful ones. You deserve a warm, safe space where your story is honored, your inner experience is held, and healing can unfold.

I promote growth and healing through compassionate insight, reflection and strategic direction! Acquired Knowledge seems most beneficial when put to use to benefit ourselves or others, for as we serve and engage with others, we more readily discover our true selves. I subscribe to Emerson's notion; "Do the thing, and you will have the power" rather than give me the power and then I will act! I enjoy being a contributing factor to others growth and advancement and relish witnessing the blossoming of added confidence, enhanced self-esteem. and true growth!

As a therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will uncover long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Sometimes we want change because we are suffering, or stuck, or we’d like to be happier. Maybe we’d just like to be a better partner or a better parent. Regardless of the motivation, the work is to become the best version of ourself, i.e. a fully functioning adult. Old habits, reactions, emotions, and limiting beliefs keep us repeating old patterns. Recognizing and healing the wounds that underly the patterns frees us to know what is best for ourself. And when we know that we can move forward and we are able to be generous in relationships with those we love.

Just when you think you are getting used to one phase of life, the next one throws you a curve ball. Whether your life includes being single, adjusting to marriage or parenthood, raising a teen, children leaving the home, or adjusting to retirement, each phase brings plenty of unique challenges. Issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, and life dissatisfaction can seem like constant companions through it all. It can feel exhausting! Life should not be about working so hard yet feeling so flat!

When it comes to you as a client, I am grateful to walk along side of you as we walk this journey together. With collaboration we can look at the places you are stuck and places you excel in. There is healing and growth when we can look at the areas you would like to move forward in and often make peace with your past. We all need a little help at times, and we can work these areas of life together as we journey forward to live the life you have always wanted.

Hello, I’m Jade. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My passion began in 2010 when I received the opportunity to coach junior high girls, and high school boys volleyball. I found myself counseling athletes about balancing school, relationships, and the game of volleyball. This experience inspired me to learn about the psychological aspects of balancing life while experiencing emotions. I discontinued coaching and pursued my Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Argosy University and later I received a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we can feel inadequate in dealing with life struggles that come our way. Sometimes we feel like we've tried everything, but for some reason we still feel stuck despite our best efforts. Although there are times in our lives when we feel great, there are also times in our lives when we feel hopeless, anxious, depressed, or even lost. Sometimes, we can pinpoint why we feel this way, and other times, these feelings seem to just come upon us for no apparent reason. Both can make life incredibly difficult.

Are you finding yourself in the middle of a big, unexpected life change or relationships where you feel unseen or disconnected? You may be experiencing anxiety in new ways or feeling unsure of how to prioritize your own needs while keeping up with everything that’s expected of you. If you’re trying to make peace with past experiences and figure out who you are now, self-doubt or lingering wounds can sometimes keep you stuck. And in the midst of things like fertility challenges, postpartum or parenting stress, or navigating neurodivergence in a neurotypical world, it can feel like you’re up against too much to handle on your own.
