I knew I wanted to be a therapist from a young age. I received my MSW from UCLA in 2006 and became an LCSW in 2011. I have worked with children, tweens, teens and adults. I am drawn to CBT and EMDR because of its emphasis on creating positive cognitions and its potential to empower clients to take control of their lives. My experiences with individuals dealing with the generational cycle of trauma have solidified my desire to help others navigate their own struggles and find lasting well-being.

I provide a supportive therapeutic relationship and skillful psychotherapy. I can help with a range of concerns that people bring to therapy. These include improving relationships, working through difficult feelings, managing anxiety, changing troubling behaviors, strengthening a sense of identity and purpose, or improving ones ability to cope with difficult circumstances. I work with teen and adult clients; individuals, couples, and families. Along with talk therapy, when appropriate I enjoy incorporating non-verbal forms of expression such as drawing and sand tray work.

I work with individuals on a wide array of topics, most involving some level of depression, anxiety, and feeling unwanted or unlovable. Many have tried to handle things on their own and if things were not too bad, they did just fine. Others continue to struggle to self-regulate, self-heal, and self-manage their symptoms and are faced with the stigma of being seen as odd, irritable, annoying, needy, or high maintenance. It is hard enough to be struggling with mental health symptoms; it's even worse when people are beginning to reject you because of how you are behaving.

Everything about our lives is centered in relationship; knowing how to effectively initiate and maintain supportive, enjoyable and mutually satisfying relationships will serve us throughout our lives. But this doesn't happen without many ups and downs, some of which benefit from including a supportive, objective and helpful therapist. If you are wishing to improve your thinking, your skill in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression or trauma, living in past experiences or fearing the future, I would be honored to help.
