In a culture that often moves too quickly, therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself and what matters most. I work with adults & couples navigating loneliness, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and concerns around sex and intimacy, as well as the impact of difficult past experiences & trauma. My approach is integrative and tailored to each person, drawing from CBT, mindfulness, attachment-based therapy, and trauma-informed care, including EMDR. Through this work, I help clients deepen self-understanding, strengthen their capacity for connection, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Cultivating meaningful-healthy relationships may be especially difficult when our sense of self is overshadowed by traumatic and emotionally painful experiences. My approach to the therapy process focuses on helping foster your innate strengths and resiliency while exploring your vulnerabilities and concerns. Together we help you build a greater understanding of yourself through healing limiting patterns, fears, and beliefs. In this way, you become rooted in a life grounded in meaning, aliveness, and depth. I believe that building a stronger relationship with yourself can help cultivate healthier relationships with others, making them easier to initiate, maintain, and enjoy.

As a therapist one of my principal objectives is to help clients find relief and clarity so they feel empowered to make decisions to improve their lives. Breaking away from what no longer serves us, is possible. Change starts the moment we begin to look for answers. A graduate of University of San Francisco, CA. Diana earned a Masters Degree in Counseling and is currently an Associate Marriage Family Therapist. She has a background in women’s leadership, conflict resolution, and advocacy. Diana is first-generation Latina, whose parents escaped Cuba in search of freedom from an oppression, immigrating to the U.S.

I have a passion for working with adolescents & adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, suicidality, low self-esteem and codependency. I adhere to a Person-Centered counseling approach which means, therapy gets to be all about you, where you are valued and you can say what’s on your mind without fear of judgment. Therapy is a process that takes time, effort & a willingness to be vulnerable and self-reflect. But the biggest predictor of success in therapy is having a good relationship with your therapist, so why not give me a call for a free consultation.

I'm a therapist who believes in meeting people where they are, with honesty, curiosity, and a non-judgmental approach. Therapy isn’t about giving advice or fixing you, but about creating a space to explore your experiences, understand your patterns, and move toward a life that feels more true to you. My approach to therapy is kind, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that people have more wisdom and strength than they often realize. I work collaboratively, helping you notice what’s already working while also gently (and maybe from time to time not so gently) challenging patterns that may be getting in the way.

Life and relationships can bring challenges, whether it’s navigating intimacy, communication, or major transitions. I work with individuals and couples to build confidence, heal past struggles, and strengthen connection while in a supportive, nonjudgmental space where real growth can happen. Reaching out for help isn't always easy, but I believe that you are capable of doing hard things. The therapeutic journey takes a lot of courage and bravery, but when we work together, the result can be pretty spectacular.

I specialize in treating adults in their 20's and 30's. Most of my clients have the things that they believe constitute a good life (secure jobs, close friend groups, active social lives, etc) yet they continue to feel anxious, lost, sad, unfulfilled, burned out, and perplexed by what their purpose on this earth really is. Additionally, many of them experience significant distress caused by an endless drive towards achievement rather than fulfillment and a self-defeating pattern of comparing themselves to others.

My goal is to provide a safe place where you can look at all areas of your life. My style is very conversational and friendly so that we can talk about difficult things and process them together. I work to build an environment based off of trust, warmth, and compassion so that you'll never feel alone. My approach leans on small, obtainable changes that help you build momentum towards your larger goals. This is the first step in feeling better and I'd love to be a part of your journey.

People have more wisdom and strength than they often realize. Everyone is their own person and has their own story, and my approach to your needs can be as individualized as need be. My overall approach is grounded in Narrative, Strength-Based, and Solution-Focused work. I believe healing starts when we begin to rewrite the stories that no longer serve us and start to see ourselves more clearly. Many of my clients are exploring personal growth and may be questioning their relationship with substances. People have different relationships with substance use, and although this is an area where I specialize, it does not need be a focus.

Jungian/Psychodynamic, Intersubjective "Depth" psychotherapy. Adults & Individuals. Cancer Coaching (see website). Approach informed by the work of C.G. Jung and those focusing on the workings of the unconscious "mind," that often ends up pulling one's strings, just outside of one's conscious awareness. It isn't often one's conscious "thinking" that is at the root of one's issues, but the "unconscious" processes that become stuck and unable to move on. Helping to address these processes is at the core of my work.

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
