Therapy is a process and I know it takes a lot of courage to seek it out. I believe that all of us have in us the right tools to change our lives and achieve our goals. Sometimes, all it takes is a little guidance and support from someone who might have a different perspective. As a licensed clinical social worker, I specialize in Maternal Mental Health, Reproductive Trauma, Adjustment Disorders, Grief, Anxiety Depression and managing stress using specific interventions like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength Based, Solution Focused, and mindfulness training.

I specialize in supporting teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation, neurodivergence, and major life transitions. As an immigrant from Sri Lanka, I deeply understand the complexities of balancing multiple cultures and identities. I’m passionate about working with people of color, immigrants, and first-generation clients to address intergenerational trauma, cultural expectations, and systemic barriers. Together, we’ll work to build resilience, clarity, and a stronger sense of self in a safe, supportive space.

Becoming a therapist was my first choice, a passion I discovered during my sophomore year as an undergrad. Of course, it was not my first major, as I thought I would attend medical school. However, due to a car accident, I had to take a break from classes with laboratory courses, which led me to psychology. The best methods to pique anyone's interest are, in my opinion, abnormal psychology and personality psychology; they started my passion for learning more. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I applied for my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialty in Latino Family Studies.

Welcome! I provide culturally affirming and trauma-informed Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, an evidence-based approach that can effectively and gently support a wide range of therapeutic needs. This includes complex and relational trauma, emotional distress such as anxiety and depression, addictive processes, grief, and life changes/transitions. It is possible to create lasting change by getting to know the parts of you that show up as a result of these challenges, release burdens and beliefs about yourself that you carry as a result of painful experiences, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
