Our wounds, when healed can become our gifts. My orientation is Eclectic and Holistic. I provide psychotherapy and EMDR to adults and couples. How we see ourselves and feel about ourselves affects every choice we make. We are in relationship to everyone and everything, including ourselves. Inner Healing changes how we relate to ourselves and the world.

I am only accepting new clients for neurofeedback training at the Santa Cruz Neurofeedback Center, where I am the Clinical Director. Neurofeedback training is like going to the brain gym, where you learn how to shift your brain away from stuck and maladaptive patterns. We adapt the trainings to your specific goals. Some of the conditions that we work with are anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD. Neurofeedback is a great adjunct to therapy. Our in-house licensed talk therapist also specializes in Brainspotting and EMDR (somatic-based trauma therapy).

I provide counseling for people of all ages who are struggling to find peace within themselves. We often find ourselves stuck within the grip of anxiety and depression due to the impact of unresolved trauma. These traumatic events can be either "big" or "small," yet they can interfere with the ability to live and love fully. It is possible to learn to love the unlovable and accept the unacceptable through a growth in awareness and compassion towards all that we are. I specialize in the treatment of trauma using EMDR therapy, the Hakomi Method and a compassionate presence.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things to do. Celebrate yourself for taking this leap! You're probably here because you are looking for someone to partner with to make sustainable changes, work through past or current experiences, and cultivate safety inside yourself and in your relationships. You value growth, honesty, authenticity, and rest. I provide a safe container for you to explore your inner self; all the reflections of light on the surface and all the darkness in the depths. We will learn how to feel, how to self soothe, and how to transform your thoughts, emotions, and sense of self.

Would you like to live a more fulfilled life with meaningful relationships? Do you want to make more sense of your life and your role in it? You have taken the first step! Finding the right therapist can be scary and confusing. I believe that a personal connection is the corner stone to a successful therapeutic experience. Sometimes traumatic events can bring us to lose our sense of well-being and our center and we need help regaining them. I am honored to support you on your path to regain a greater sense of yourself. I love working with adults, adolescents and couples.

Twenty-two years ago I cured my own chronic back, neck, shoulder and hip pain using Dr. John Sarno's mindbody approach. Since then I've helped many of my clients avoid unnecessary surgeries and treatments and overcome a broach range of chronic pain conditions. Emotionally induced pain disorders are so epidemic, it is very possible that your pain is not due to a physical cause. But I want to be clear: I'm not saying that it's all in your head! As I know personally, this is real pain. The issue is understanding what causes it and giving you the power to end it.

Life is difficult, laden with pain and suffering. And sometimes it seems to come to a climax, bringing us to a point of questioning so much about what we used to hold so dear and precious. These moments can seem overwhelming, confusing, and, strangely, may also be an opportunity to explore what comes next, with openness and mindfulness. I come with 30+ years of experience providing compassionate skill in helping individuals and couples deal with issues of being alive on this planet, helping in the process of creating ones life in ways that are consistent with ones dreams and ideals

My therapeutic style is personal, respectful and practical. I can help you create and notice positive changes in your life and relationships and adapt to changing conditions as necessary. I'll work with you to achieve tangible results towards your goals in therapy. We'll focus on what works to notice positive change as it happens. Although I treat people with a wide range of issues, some areas of particular focus in my practice are: helping individuals and relationships that are affected by Chronic Physical Illness and/or Pain, Depression and Anxiety.

There are many reasons why a person, a couple, or a family might find themselves feeling stuck, down, disconnected, overwhelmed, or anxious. A significant portion of my education and training is based around helping clients reduce or resolve symptoms associated with their challenges. However, I find that helping clients identify the root of their obstacles—in addition to cultivating skills and strategies to work towards a strong mental and emotional sense of well-being and developing strong connected relationships—is as important as attending to mental, emotional, and relational symptoms.
