(Click on the "website" tab to watch my short 3-minute intro video!) My specialty is couples and individuals with relationship issues. Being in a relationship can be hard work and the stresses of career, children, in-laws, finances, chores, etc. don't make it any easier. Maybe you're feeling like you're having more conflict than love in your relationship and the communication is just not working. Or maybe you are fresh off of a breakup and wanting more clarity about what happened, or single wanting to work through some issues so you can be your best self for a future partner.

Trauma may manifest in your life as all kinds of disruptions, such as anxiety, depression, burnout, nightmares, family conflicts, or relationship struggles. Yet, I see them as how your pain has found its own way to show up in this particular form. I approach this work with a trauma lens, yet it doesn’t mean that I will be searching for your “brokenness”. I see trauma as an inherent aspect of the human condition, and that we are all continuously healing from traumas, whether “big” or “small”, personal or collective.

We as human beings live in many relationships. Starting with the one with ourselves, our loved ones, work and the world out there. Sometimes we can get stuck in one of these and Psychotherapy is a relationship which helps illuminate our difficulties and ways to resolve them.

Before considering therapy, you may have tried a few ways to resolve your distress but find yourself stuck in the same thinking and behavioral patterns. If you are curious about why these patterns remain and feel motivated to create and sustain changes, therapy is a great starting point. Our brain is wired to resist change and the fact that you're seeking therapy speaks to your strength and courage. My ingredients for successful therapy = a strong therapeutic relationship + science-based skills + feeling heard and understood + stepping outside comfort zone in a safe environment + lots of practice.

Marriage and Family Therapy is my second career, and the path that brought me here was both unexpected and deeply meaningful. Growing up, I had little understanding of how profoundly mental health shapes our lives, yet I’ve always felt a strong desire to help others. Life’s unpredictability reminds me that we live moment by moment, learning and growing as we go. My hope is that each person I meet in therapy continues their journey with courage and compassion for themselves, moving forward on their own unique journey.

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck—whether in patterns of anxiety, grief, trauma, or relational struggles—but deep down, they want change. They may not have all the answers yet, but they are seeking emotional relief and a greater sense of purpose.
They want to heal, grow, and rediscover their strength—because deep down, they know they are capable of more. They are tired of feeling like life is just happening to them. They want to take an active role in their healing journey, learning to navigate challenges with confidence and self-kindess

I used to view mental health, physical health, and relationships as separate, but they’re deeply connected. Poor boundaries can impact how we eat, cope, and care for ourselves. Our early relationships shape how we show up in connection with others. As a therapist, I understand the desire for quick fixes, but lasting change takes courage and time. My goal is to provide a compassionate space where you can explore the beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you and begin building a life that reflects your values, needs, and growth.
