Many of my clients come to me feeling like they’ve tried everything, yet nothing works long term. I believe healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship; one built on trust, safety, and collaboration. With experience providing intensive, in-home, and community-based interventions, I take a hands-on practical approach to therapy. Together, we’ll explore new strategies, strengthen resilience and create lasting change. When hope feels distant, I’ll hold it with you until you can hold it again yourself.

Silicon Valley can be a stressful place to live. Sometimes, the demands of living and working in this area rob us of the passion we once had. If you are feeling pulled in too many directions...if you are feeling like your needs take a backseat to everything else in your life: kids, work, older parents, spouse, then I would like to help. You can feel like you once did, full of LIFE and PASSION. Running on empty can lead to depression, anxiety, relationship drama, and health problems. You can feel better, even THRIVE, while meeting life's challenges with ease.

As your therapist, my first offering would be creating a safe environment for you, whereby you know that you are being heard, respected, and validated. I respect and honor your wish to find someone to work with; a traveling companion for the road you are on.  I know this first step is a hard one.  I’ve been in your shoes too. Here is what I have learned: connection matters. Feelings matter. Knowing, that someone sees how hard it can be, matters. And yes, expertise matters. If you’ve gotten this far then you are likely wondering- could this person possibly be my/our therapist? Will she understand me/us? Will she care? Can she help?

Most people come to therapy when life feels heavier, relationships feel strained, or a sense of disconnection—from themselves or from others—begins to take hold. These experiences can show up as stress, emotional overwhelm, finding yourself repeating familiar patterns, or simply knowing something needs attention. I offer a warm, collaborative space grounded in safety, understanding, and genuine human connection. Together, we build present-moment awareness and explore patterns that may be contributing to distress, creating space for clarity, emotional resilience, and meaningful change.

How can you tell if I'm the right therapist for you? The only way to really find out is to reach out and connect. But I encourage you to take the time and interview a few of us. I know you're hurting and that there are a lot of therapist profiles to choose from. However you need to make sure you find a therapist who feels like a good fit before diving into the work. Why? Because the single most important ingredient in successful therapy is the healing relationship you and I create together. This is why I structure my work in such a way that you'll know by the end of our first session together whether we're a good fit.

I place great value on the uniqueness of each person, which leads me to use an eclectic approach to therapy. My approach includes both evidence-based treatments such as CBT and ACT, as well as emotion-focused and somatic therapy. Approaching therapy in this manner allows the therapeutic process to be tailored to the individual’s needs and strengths. I believe knowing one’s self and awareness of the mind-body connection can lead to growth and achievement. Awareness of this connection inspires me to help people become more conscious of their physiological/body experiences, as well as challenge limiting thought and beliefs.

Finding a therapist is hard! It doesn't help that there are so many to choose from. I think the most important part is actually liking the person you are talking to. Take a look at my page (and website), and if you think we may be a good fit, I encourage you to call me for a free 15 minute consultation. If we end up working together, I will do my best to find which methods align with you so that I can help you get to the place you want to be.

I'm here with you. Few things are more painful than feeling disconnected from yourself or the person you love. If you've tried everything to reconnect with yourself and others, only to end up stuck in the same old patterns, you're far from alone ... and help is available! When stress and anxiety leave you short of breath and constantly bracing for the worst, or old wounds from loss or trauma linger and make it difficult to feel safe or believe there's a light at the end of the tunnel, you can end up feeling heartbroken, hopeless, and exhausted. But the fact that you are reading this now means there is hope. I'm here to help.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
