I specialize in helping people transform life challenges into opportunities for growth and healing. My special interest in helping individuals and families comes from a deep appreciation of the enduring influence of close relationships on all aspects of health throughout the lifespan.
Most often people come to psychotherapy because the ways they learned to cope in their families of origin, are not working well in their current life situations. I work with them to honor and accept their established ways of coping, while gently urging them toward more effective strategies.
I became a psychologist after personally experiencing psychotherapy and its tremendous potential to get at the heart of what matters and change lives. My training and experience are extensive and substantive. Collaboration, warmth and acceptance characterize my approach.
