Depression, anxiety, even relational problems, often have a meaning which--when understood--leads to a more productive and satisfying life. Utilizing a psychodynamic approach, we explore the meaning of the difficulties you are experiencing to heal them and provide you a more fulfilling life. Having worked with all ages, from pre-school to elderly, my primary practice is with adults and adolescents. I specialize in dealing with trauma, and am certified as a Post-Combat Behavioral Health specialist. I am trained in the utilization of EMDR and, when applicable, we may learn to use a mindfulness-based therapy in the treatment of depression and anxiety.
In addition to my general psychotherapy practice, I specialize in dealing with spiritual crises and deep spiritual issues. Having obtained a Master of Divinity degree I have also been trained in spiritual direction as well as having an expertise in dealing with concerns arising due to religious and spiritual experiences.
As a Personal Protection Specialist (trained at the Executive Protection Institute and the Gavin de Becker Advanced Threat Assessment and Management Academy), I also specialize in assessing and managing ongoing threats of violence and assisting with the traumatic aftermath of violence and abuse (both physical and sexual).
