Most people who come to see me feel something is wrong, but find their own solutions fall short, or make matters even more complicated. They may be dealing with relationship issues, struggles at school or work, anxiety, depression or a general lack purpose and meaning in their life. My work is designed to help people find support and understanding that can be felt in the present and will leave a lasting impact.

Many of the people I work with have spent their lives moving between cultures, languages, or identities, where belonging feels complicated and uncertain. That's something I know from the inside.
You look like you have it together on the outside, but inside you're exhausted from trying to get everything right. Maybe you've spent years being the responsible one, the achiever, the caretaker, or the peacekeeper, constantly attuned to others' needs while slowly losing touch with your own inner compass. You may be navigating menopause, midlife shifts, career changes, relocating, or realizing that ADHD has been underneath it all along.

You feel the weight of expectations — at work, in your family, or during pregnancy and postpartum — and it’s starting to impact your confidence, communication, and mental health. You show up for everyone else, yet still carry a quiet voice that says you’re not doing enough. When life shifts — a career change, relationship transition, aging parent, or new baby — you feel overwhelmed and unsure of who you are. You’re ready to loosen the grip of family dynamics, cultural pressure, guilt, and shame so you can live by your own values.

I understand that choosing a therapist can be an intimidating and awkward process. I think personal referrals are usually the best but sometimes not possible. After thirty years of working as a therapist, I feel I've met and worked with all kinds of patients and helped many of them to change- feel differently about themselves, their relationships and their work. I see individuals, couples and women with new babies.

Without meaning and the chance to therapeutically practice new insights and behaviors, we may suffer unnecessarily during times of high stress, trauma, or in daily life. Feelings may become an overwhelming flood of dread, sorrow or numbness; thinking becomes confused, panicky, and self-critical; joy, spontaneity and self-trust may feel lost. Together we can make good use of your strengths, symptoms and external challenges. Through exploring and deepening our understanding and trust in your own inner world, dignity and liveliness may be restored even under the most challenging or enduring of circumstances, illnesses or problems.

I offer a non-judgmental and patient approach to help clients tap into their strengths and deep wisdom – which can help them feel more connected to themselves and others. I treat therapy as sacred healing work – honoring my clients in our collaborative work together. I find it so meaningful to bear witness to my clients – in their eras of challenge, as well as in discovery of more lightness and ease in their lives. I bring an anti-oppression, feminist stance to my work and cultural humility as I work with clients of various backgrounds and life experiences.

In counseling, my passion is to offer support to mothers and parents of any gender in the perinatal period (including trying to conceive, pregnancy & pregnancy challenges/loss, birth & birth loss, postpartum and early parenthood), as well as to those healing from trauma, and exploring aspects of any identity you hold (around sexuality, race, gender, class, ability, etc) that need compassionate witnessing and support. I have worked as a certified domestic violence counselor, and am trained in EMDR through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I bring these skills to support our work together.

Psychotherapy is a uniquely effective way to address and process deeply rooted issues that manifest in ways that are painful, confusing, and make people feel out of control. I work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual therapy, using a collaborative approach that centers on empathy, understanding, and exploration. My orientation is predominantly psychodynamic, and I tailor my approach to each individual to address unique circumstances and complexities. I strive to create a safe, warm, and validating environment that enables people to share and be vulnerable without fear of judgment.

Counseling, to me, is a collaborative space where clients are empowered to explore, find their own path, and work towards their goals. I’m a queer, neurodiverse counselor, and while I am especially passionate about discussing gender, sexuality, and neurodiversity with clients, I enjoy working on a variety of concerns with clients of any identity or experience. Therapy with me often includes building self-awareness, learning and practicing validation, and challenging oneself to make desired changes at a realistic pace.
