You may be reading this because you're feeling overwhelmed, scared, hurt, angry or even guilty and numb. Whatever the feelings, you wish someone can make it better. Absolutely. That's what therapy should do - Not only make your life easier, but also calmer, more fulfilled. Ideally, you want to talk to someone who gets it, gets you - someone who can help you, not only ease the pain, but also remember your dreams and even recapture them.

Hi, I'm Kalyn and I specialize in supporting women during the reproductive years. It is very common to experience challenges during this phase of life, and these challenges can bring upon exhaustion, overwhelm, anxiety, confusion, isolation, rage and grief. If you are experiencing some of these you are not alone. You may be needing a safe and judgement free space to help you make sense of this time, and move through it equipped with compassion for yourself and tools to cope.

Being in a long-term relationship can be difficult. Job stress, parenting, chronic illness, and past trauma all add to the disruption in a relationship. When one or more of these are at play, your energy is sapped and your ability to respond to your partner or kids with patience is limited. It's hard to keep yourself from just reacting, whether that reaction is to snap out or shut down. I know - from very personal experience - how it feels to be trapped, alone, and stuck in a relationship without any idea how to make it better. But now, there's a roadmap to making these issues better, and I'd like to share it with you.

I'm a licensed psychologist committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and anti-oppressive care. I specialize in working with teens and adults dealing with issues such as trauma, ADHD, anxiety, relationship dynamics and identity development. While grounded in classic therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness, DBT and CBT, I intentionally adapt them to honor clients' cultural identities, lived experiences, and the broader sociopolitical forces that shape mental health — including racism, intergenerational trauma, and systemic oppression. My practice is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in social justice values.

I help adults who wish to explore a process of transformation, seeking to move beyond barriers of overthinking, emotional pain, complex grief and past chaos—often shaped by Type I and Type II trauma, acute stress, panic, anxiety, depression, and addictive patterns. Together we create a plan to address your specific needs, consider calming modalities, psycho-education on the nervous system and somatic strategies that provide a calmer embodied experience interrupting cyclical distress.

Many individuals come to therapy feeling anxious, hyper-vigilant, disconnected from their bodies, or struggling with patterns like people-pleasing, perfectionism, or disordered eating. These are not personal failures, but trauma-informed responses to environments where emotional safety was inconsistent or absent. I use EMDR and Somatic Therapy to help folks feel safe in their bodies again and work through complex trauma. I take a strengths based approach and love supporting members of the LGBTQ community.
