Welcome! I'm Silvie Wilson. I'd like to acknowledge the strength it requires to take that first step of reaching out for help with your mental health from a therapist. I know it's not easy to begin the journey to better self-understanding, compassion, and mastery. My aim is to create a safe environment in which we can explore your own personal history, themes, and challenges, in order to find resources and solutions to the obstacles that hold you back from being exactly the person you've always wanted to be.

Being in a long-term relationship can be difficult. Job stress, parenting, chronic illness, and past trauma all add to the disruption in a relationship. When one or more of these are at play, your energy is sapped and your ability to respond to your partner or kids with patience is limited. It's hard to keep yourself from just reacting, whether that reaction is to snap out or shut down. I know - from very personal experience - how it feels to be trapped, alone, and stuck in a relationship without any idea how to make it better. But now, there's a roadmap to making these issues better, and I'd like to share it with you.

Do you feel torn between what your family expects of you and what you need for yourself? As a first-generation Latina, I understand the push and pull between family expectations and finding your own path. This can show up as pressure to succeed, struggling to set boundaries, and feeling caught between two different cultures. It can feel heavy and overwhelming but you don’t have to carry it alone.

I am able to provide bilingual counseling services, Spanish/ English. I work with individuals of all ages, couples and families. Life as we know it, can be a bit overwhelming at times and once we get caught in the middle of some kind of struggle, it can be difficult to find the way out. The strategies that we once used to cope don't work anymore, and we need a little help learning a new way.

Is that painful experience or worry stuck on repeat in your mind? Maybe it was a scary incident, negative comment, embarrassing moment or even a sports injury. Or maybe you're nervous AF about college or grad school exams, public speaking, or playing in your game. Regardless, you're tired of it bothering you so much. And you're fed up with it preventing you from doing what you want to do. But you're ready to feel calm. You're ready to perform well without questioning your self-worth. And most of all, you want to move forward with confidence and feel like yourself again. I want to help you get there.
