I specialize in children, adolescents, and young adults, using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness, as well as other treatment modalities to address needs and facilitate growth. Setting goals and planning treatment is a collaborative process with the client (and parents) and I aim to cultivate an open and non-judgmental relationship during the therapy process. My years of experience include supporting clients through a myriad of concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and/or loss, relational issues, self-esteem and adjustments to changes.
A child’s language is through play and it is for this reason that I utilize play and art therapy to access the child’s internal world. When I work with youth it is of upmost importance to hold a space that meets them exactly where they’re at, while also giving them coping tools to use outside of session. I also value collaboration and check-ins with parents.
I believe my role as a psychotherapist is to be a witness to my client’s journey while helping them to find meaning within the struggle. I nurture resilience so that my clients feel equipped to handle what may come next with a sustainable and strong sense of self- worth. I look forward to working with you and your family!
