I believe anyone can benefit from therapy. Seeing a therapist means you were willing to ask for help in dealing with the overwhelming circumstances that sometimes come your way. We all face times of anxiety and depression, and a little professional guidance can help us not just survive these times, but can result in happier, healthier people for facing the trials. I particularly believe that giving this healing space to children is beneficial; allowing their experiences and emotions to be treated respectfully and resolved empathically can let them move forward and make better choices throughout the rest of their lives.
One of my favorite things about our office is our playroom. We have plenty of art supplies and games for children (or any age) to use in exploring themselves and their emotions in a contained, safe, and friendly environment.
I enjoy being able to use shared Christian beliefs in counseling. I also respect that many clients have other beliefs, and I only use techniques that you as the client are willing to consider. This is your therapy.
