While you can't always avoid the challenges that arise in your life, you do have choices about how you address them. My approach draws from the idea that there is much to learn from these struggles, and that by decreasing the shame that makes it hard for you to face yourself, you create opportunities for making real and enduring changes in your life. But you don't have to do this alone.
I strive to make the process of self-exploration and healing more comfortable, creative and productive. By understanding and building compassion for the different "parts" of your personality, we can begin to alter these old patterns. Through this process, you can feel better, have more satisfying relationships, and live a fuller life.
My work as a psychologist is informed by my interest in yoga, dance and meditation and the benefits of bringing greater mindfulness to all aspects of life. I enjoy helping new mothers and fathers with the transition to parenthood and working with couples. I also have extensive experience in working with adolescents and their families.
