Relationship changes, career transitions, and life events can cause us to experience anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I can help you work through it and process what is going on. I have 20 years of experience in this field and am continually inspired by how talk therapy can bring peace and clarity into day to day life. Whatever you're facing, my goal is to work with you to find unique strengths and creative solutions that allow you to thrive in the midst of it all. I provide therapy virtually, so I can see anyone in California via telehealth. And I also see clients in person in Pacifica and San Francisco.

The start of a new year often comes with the pressure to be a "new you". The pressure to change, improve, and reinvent yourself can feel overwhelming. What if I told you didn't have to become anyone new at all? What if this season was about meeting yourself with more compassion and curiosity? I’m a licensed therapist dedicated to helping adults slow down, soften expectations, and reconnect with who they already are. My approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and partnership, where I believe in walking alongside you, both emotionally and, when helpful, physically.

I believe that therapy doesn’t have to last a lifetime to be life-changing. Rather, I view our work together as a targeted season of support—a dedicated chapter in your life designed to support you with the clarity, resilience, and tools needed to move forward. I work with adults who are ready to look inward, especially those carrying wounds from childhood, struggling with social anxiety, or feeling like connection is something that works for others but not for them. If that sounds familiar, I can help you understand what’s really happening inside, increasing insight about what you’ve had to hide or fight against just to get by.

I have been offering psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families for the past 27 years. I would particularly like to work with couples, whether it is in the very beginning of the relationship to check for compatibility, during the relationship to deal with problems that arise, or working on amicable separation. I offer conflict resolution to individual, couples and families. I am also trained in divorce mediation to work on uncontested divorce where we can create a win/win situation for both parties. All the work can be done in a few sessions and this could save you legal fees that can run into tens of thousands of dollars.

I am now accepting new clients. I work with clients to explore past experiences and life transitions that are affecting their lives. Through weekly sessions, we will work through self exploration, personal concerns and life challenges. We will explore circumstances that can be changed, those that cannot be changed, and how to discern the difference. We will also discuss and practice various coping mechanisms that can help clients improve their lives. Therapy is a gift to yourself!

Hi, you! Congrats on taking steps to make changes in your life- it takes a lot of vulnerability to do so. Every one experiences their own unique journeys throughout their life, which may come with various challenges and growth. Some of these challenges may look like feeling stuck, being bought back to previous life experiences, or finding yourself returning to similar destructive patterns. At some point we have to stop and ask ourselves- do I want to continue feeling this way, or is it time to change something?

Teen angst? Bring it on! I work with adolescents, teens, and parents in navigating some of the most difficult years. If you are having difficulty connecting with your child, tween, or teen I will assist you in building your connection while setting boundaries as a parent. Sounds like a difficult feat? Remember that it is from the challenging times that we learn and grow the very most. Do you remember what it was like getting through middle school? Many of us would like to forget, however, with assistance it does not have to be so difficult for your child or for you to reach them.

I support youth (5-21) and families through mental health and relationship challenges in an affirming, collaborative and hopeful space. I strive to show up authentically so my clients can too, while incorporating evidence-based therapies individualized to each person's strengths, needs and interests. I work especially well with imaginative, sensitive kids who light up when given space to express themselves beyond just words, and with older youths who are figuring out growing independence (and the pressures that can come with it).

As a therapist, I imagine my ideal client as someone who feels stuck—overwhelmed by anxiety, past trauma, or difficult relationships—but who is ready to take steps toward healing and change. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your story, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and build new ways of coping and connecting. Together, we’ll work to transform pain into growth, helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with the life you want to live.

My ideal client is a creative, sensitive, and accomplished individual—an artist, leader, or visionary—seeking deeper alignment and embodied transformation. They’ve outgrown old patterns and long to feel grounded, inspired, and alive in their bodies. Through somatic awareness, expressive arts, and trauma-informed therapy, I help them access their inner wisdom, heal what has been held or silenced, and reconnect to authenticity, vitality, and the soul’s natural rhythm.

You might seem fine on paper. I work with what’s underneath. Inside, you’re anxious, exhausted, and stuck. The thoughts won’t stop. You’re white-knuckling your way through work, relationships, and the parts of life that are supposed to feel restful. I work with adults and couples who are burned out, overwhelmed, and done performing. Many of my clients have tried therapy before. Maybe they picked up a few deep breathing exercises, but the deeper patterns never shifted. They want something more real.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in 94044?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
