Making the decision to see a therapist is not an easy one, and it often takes a fair amount of courage to do so. For those who decide that therapy is appropriate, the outcome can be positive, bringing them more intimacy and fulfillment. Therapy provides the opportunity to improve communication, reduce stress, anxiety and anger, and improve the most important relationship we have....the one we have with ourselves.

Do you want to feel better about your self and improve your relationships with others? My approach is grounded in Humanistic/Existential psychology and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness-based techniques. Combining these approaches, the goal is to create a non-judgmental "curious" understanding about your emotions and yourself as a whole. It is my hope that you find acceptance for your emotions and all parts of yourself. We will also identify reactive thoughts and behaviors and replace them with intentional responses. Through intentional living, you can create and live a life that is meaningful with profound connections to others.

Our world can be pretty hectic, especially here in the Bay Area. We all experience stress from external and internal pressures and obstacles. Life can feel overwhelming which leads our body and mind to shut down and/or lash out in various ways. We feel stuck because we are drowning in intense emotions and stressful events and we don’t know how to get to the surface and catch a breath. As a result we miss out on the joys of life as we cannot fully experience happiness with the weight of everything we need to get done or everything we need to do to meet everyone’s (even our own) expectations.

There's an authentic self in there. The real you! But life happens, loved ones fail to be who we needed them to be, and we adapt. We take on other versions of ourselves to protect us from pain. Maybe a part of you is an Overachiever who will never let you feel failure again or a People-pleaser who will never let you feel loneliness again. I help clients get to know these parts, heal them, and allow the authentic self to step forward.

Hello, I assist people on their healing journey in the form of psychotherapy. My work includes increasing awareness, processing relevant past events, and building a life that is aligned with one's values. I guide people to calm into their bodies, regulate their breathing, and tune inward to better understand themselves. I have an open, curious, and nonjudgmental presence, but will also be direct and provide guidance when needed. Let's talk about culture, traditions, and ancestral lineage. We can peel aways layers of conditioning and faulty beliefs so that you can connect and express your authentic self.

As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with an MA in Sport Psychology, I work with athletes and performers who want to conquer their performance anxiety, strengthen their confidence, and renegotiate their relationship with making mistakes. Often, my clients feel like they: get stuck in their heads; have trouble letting go of mistakes; struggle with perfectionism; are self-critical and getting in their own way; have to perform under pressure; are not communicating well with a coach or teammate; have lost confidence in skills that used to be second nature; and/or are struggling with the demands of being a student-athlete.
