When you experience your emotions deeply, trying to 'think' your way through them rarely brings relief. I work with individuals who are looking for a richer understanding of their struggles with worry, overthinking, self-criticism, or grief. Instead of trying to force your way through these feelings, our work focuses on changing how you relate to them, learning how to sit with your experiences in a way that frees you to move forward.

My approach is straightforward and honest- sometimes gentle, sometimes direct. Any assertiveness comes from a place of care and respect, with the goal of supporting your healing and helping you move toward where you want to be. I want our time together to feel purposeful and productive, while still being a space where you can breathe, reflect, and feel understood. My hope is that you leave each session with fresh ideas, deeper clarity, and tools that help you move toward your goals.

Navigating life challenges can be overwhelming, especially without support. If you’re here, you've already taken the first step in your healing journey and I’d be honored to accompany you. My work often focuses on supporting individuals recovering from childhood trauma, navigating relationship/identity issues, dealing with anxiety/depression, sitting with self-critical/self-hating views of themselves, feeling disempowered within systems of oppression, and discovering (or rediscovering) the parts of themselves they have lost. As a queer, first-generation Latinx therapist, I strive to offer an affirming space where clients feel seen.

It is important that our patients feel respected and encouraged. Our job is to really listen and help you feel understood. I also think our role is to give you lots of feedback and not just be a passive listener saying, "uh, uh, hmm, I see, hmm". We are a coach, cheerleader, teacher, confidante, and accountability partner. The biggest complaint we have heard over the years about any past therapists whom patients felt were not helpful was the complaint that the past therapist was way too passive. We work best with those that want a therapist high in empathy but is not passive.

I'm here to create a safe and supportive environment with each of my clients. I work with children, teens, adults and seniors to feel calmer, more confident, and better connected to the people who matter most. For younger kids, I often use play therapy and sand tray activities to help them express feelings they can’t yet put into words. For teens, I bring in art projects and interactive games to build trust and spark real conversations. Telehealth is available for anyone older than 12 or couples to make seeking support easier with busy schedules. Together we’ll work on practical skills and small steps that lead to lasting change.

Life is more enjoyable when we are feeling whole, healthy and connected to the important people around us. But sometimes our reality is disconnection, frustration, stress, and hopelessness. How can this be happening to me? Especially now! Most of us assume the journey to parenthood will be smooth and easy, rarely is that the reality. I support individuals and couples from the early stages of trying to conceive through the stress of launching adults and all the stages in the middle. My role is to be a coach as you try new strategies, process difficult feelings and work through challenges. You do not have to do this alone.

I have a passion for coming alongside others and believe it's just part of my DNA as a human being. 25 years ago I began my career as a medical assistant and a teacher. In my late-20's I enlisted in the US Navy, where I served as a first responder and was part of the Sexual Assault Victims Intervention team. I've lived overseas with kids in tow, and have a deep understanding of the effects of betrayal, infidelity, and cross addictions. I've worked as a Hospice Spiritual and Bereavement Coordinator, a counselor at several crisis houses and transitional living centers, as well for non-profit agencies providing therapeutic services.

If you or your child want relief from trauma symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, panic, worry, or perfectionism, you are in the right place. Unprocessed stress and trauma impact us in so many ways. Often, it can feel impossible to relax or feel safe. We sometimes feel so overwhelmed by our feelings or by others, that we dissociate, disconnect, or isolate. Sometimes we play small and hide away to protect ourselves. Sometimes, we strive to achieve, please, and oveerextend as a means of protection. I want to help you discover who you are and what you are capable of when your nervous system feels truly safe.

As a parent, do you find your child stressed and living with overwhelming anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, or relationship challenges? Maybe you want to create a future where challenges are more manageable, but you aren't sure how to start working toward those goals on your own. Emotions can feel difficult to manage without the right guidance and tools that therapy can provide. You don't have to be alone in life's struggles.

I believe that self-acceptance and self-understanding are fundamental to meaningful change and that each of us has an innate healing capacity and ability to thrive. Sometimes, unresolved memories or traumas, anxiety, depression, self-criticism, identity issues, cultural conditioning or daily stressors can stand in the way of our sense of vitality and efficacy in life. I provide clients with a supportive, non-judgmental space (with a bit of humor when appropriate) to process psychological distress and get to the root of what is keeping you from orienting toward more authenticity and balance.
