I specialize in working with first responders and adults who appear to have it together but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted underneath. Many are struggling with burnout, overthinking, past trauma, or feeling stuck in patterns they can't seem to break. They often come to therapy wanting relief, clarity, and a way to feel more grounded and in control. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to help you understand what's going on, build practical tools, and move toward meaningful, lasting change at your own pace.

I am passionate about meeting you where you are with empathy and acceptance. I take a strengths-based approach and consider how your assets can be used to meet your treatment goals. Each person comes into this world with strengths and weaknesses, in therapy you can learn ways to use your strengths to support your weaknesses and address the impact of life adversities. In trauma and anxiety treatment we ask, "What happened?" rather than "What is wrong with you?" By stepping back from the symptoms, I consider dynamic factors that contribute to your unique history; as well as unseen biological, medical, cultural and systemic factors.

The world is a crazy place, but your mind does not have to be. I would be lying if I told you healing was easy, or even comfortable. Many of the people who work with me are intelligent, capable, and self-aware people who have tried to “logic” their way out of old patterns that somehow keep showing back up. At some point, it gets exhausting to fight in your own brain, and then nothing actually changes. What tends to work better is honest support and tools. The kind where you can be all of yourself; complicated, sad, emotional, possibly a bit stubborn, and still be open to someone pointing out some ways that you can evolve.
