Childhood trauma can lead us to develop negative cognitions and critical self talk that we use to beat ourselves up with on a daily basis. I’m not good enough, “que pendeja eres”, (you’re so stupid), “no puedes hacer nada bien” ( you can’t do anything right). When we are not provided with safety, protection, guidance or nurturance as children, we learn to figure it out on our own, and our nervous system becomes so activated; you can’t sleep, you can’t turn your brain off, it just keeps going even though you’re physically exhausted, you just wanna crawl out of your skin. You need relief now. You are ready for self-love.

Coping with anxiety, depression, grief, and loss or the adjustment to a chronic illness can be an isolating and emotional journey. You may find yourself overwhelmed by uncertainty, struggling with loss, or navigating a new reality that feels difficult to accept. These experiences can impact your sense of stability, making it hard to find peace in daily life.

Whether you are overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, or the lingering effects of trauma. Or navigating questions of identity, belonging, or meaning. I can offer a space where turning toward yourself can be done soulfully. A place where all parts of you, the parts you've had to be and the parts that you want to be can be witnessed and invited to join the conversation toward greater ease in responding to life and a richer, more joyful participation with it.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who focuses on underlying relationship issues to help my clients experience a deeper sense of connection. If you have struggled with issues of trust, infidelity, constant fighting, family issues, low self-esteem, or feelings of disconnection, my style of therapy can help you discuss the themes that fuel the arguments and stand in-between connection. In a typical session, we can "map out" negative communication patterns and implement tools for some immediate relief so that you don't need to be in therapy long term.

If you have arrived here you're looking for a safe place to unpack. Maybe your coping strategies are being tested and your relationships strained. You need and deserve all the support you can get. Here in the safety and peace of my office you will find that you do not have to go through your anxiety, depression, trauma and pain alone. You can make meaning out of suffering. You will see that your sense of hopelessness is an illusion, that your feelings of worthlessness can be unlearned, that your unhealthy habits can be replaced. It is important to me to support and create a safe space for queer and trans clients

You're smart, successful, and capable—but when it comes to relationships and self-worth, you struggle. Maybe you overthink interactions, question your needs, or have difficulty trusting yourself. Maybe you keep repeating painful relationship patterns, finding yourself drawn to emotionally unavailable partners or stuck in relationships marked by emotional abuse or coercive control. You may avoid closeness altogether, or wonder why relationships seem harder for you than they do for everyone else. Deep down, you might carry beliefs such as, “I’m not good enough,” “I’m too much,” or “Something is wrong with me.”

I have been in practice since 2007 and have been featured on ABC, NBC, and KCAL as an expert psychologist. I work primarily with men who have hit “rock bottom” and would like help getting up. These men are often in crisis when we first meet. The issues I address are typically related to unhealthy sexual behaviors, infidelity, broken relationships, drugs/alcohol, dishonesty/lying, financial recklessness, and gambling. My therapy approach is a combination of psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, and the 12-Step recovery model. I also share insight from my own painful but redemptive recovery journey.

Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated, hopeless, or stuck. Some are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, uncertainty, body image challenges, OCD, relationship OCD (ROCD), low self-esteem, or unresolved trauma. Others are managing perfectionism, ADHD, imposter syndrome, identity trauma, or the lingering effects of childhood experiences that still impact them today.

We are a boutique group practice that provides genuinely inclusive, trauma-rooted care for clients across California and Texas, moving far beyond "trauma-informed" as just a trendy buzzword. We believe therapy should be a space where your whole identity is celebrated, which is why we are proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming, allied, and take an active stance of advocacy for everyone we serve. Whether you are navigating an Autism or ADHD diagnosis, or seeking an affirming assessment, or simply looking for a space where you don't have to mask, our team approaches your care from a strictly strengths-based, anti-ableist perspective for therapy.

In liminal spaces such as therapy rooms, exploration can include questioning the less examined, and a noticing of how our experience is being impacted by forces and beliefs that keep us doubting and in distress. In pausing, gathering and contemplating as if around a fire, possibilities emerge. How do you really want to respond in this moment or the next? What forces and practices make this journey painful, and what leads you to a state of wonder and feeling most alive?

Whether you’re a person struggling to meet your full potential, a parent hoping to see your child thrive, or a family working to repair broken relationships, good therapy can result in growth and lasting change. It takes courage to be willing to honestly look at ourselves. It takes a safe, open and non-judgmental space, as well as an experienced therapist to make that work possible. As a licensed professional counselor this is the work I do. My approach is open and straightforward. I use scientifically-based methods, years of experience and customized techniques, to match your specific needs.

Are you feeling anxious by how much you hold and how deeply you feel? I help highly sensitive people lean into authenticity without the overwhelm. You might be someone who overthinks, questions yourself, or feels like you’re in a transition—no longer who you were, but not sure who you’re becoming. In our work, we slow things down and listen more closely—to your body, your emotions, and your intuition. Moving from self-doubt toward trust, and toward a way of living that feels more aligned, creative, and easeful.
