I'm an integrative psychotherapist working with individuals and couples. My approach is engaged and caring, providing a safe and supportive environment, where you can reflect and develop new ways of handling challenges you are facing. The focus of my practice is threefold: relationship issues, life transitions (e.g. themes like change in relationship, career changes, relocation, changes in values and morals, and loss as well as seeking more meaning and fulfillment in life), and healing from physical/emotional abuse.

Hello there. I'm glad you're here. We experienced a whirlwind, haven't we? I wonder what these hurricane years were like for you. Maybe the pandemic revealed feelings of severe loneliness from being separated from family and friends and the societal shift towards virtual work. Maybe the years uncovered immense anxieties sparked by social unrest, job insecurity, and constant health crises. Maybe you feel stuck in the pain and grief of it all- saying goodbye to a loved one, getting a divorce, losing a job, and missing the rituals of life. My hope is to join you in the rubble as you sort through the pieces and rebuild.

We are all impacted by trauma and adversity. Big or small, negative experiences can ripple through our lives, impacting our development and how we respond to challenges. Fortunately, our experiences do not have to define us, and we can take back control to not only heal, but thrive and grow. I understand that taking those first steps towards change take courage. I believe in creating a safe space where we can build a therapeutic relationship founded on trust, understanding, and empathy.

I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy, understanding, and safety is one of the most important aspects of therapy. Taking the first steps toward healing can be scary, but by getting to know each individual and family I see outside of the problems they bring to session we can build a relationship based on trust and understanding. With this foundation we can explore how past experiences in one’s life can influence current problems and patterns of behavior in order to help gain insight and strengthen current and future relationships.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Everyone experiencing a depth of suffering needs a helping hand. Whether from external circumstances, internal conflict, or both, the presence of suffering is overwhelming. It is a burden that must be shared to be overcome. When suffering is particularly intense, it is difficult to know how share, as well as how to bridge periods when isolation seems deafening. It's a chasm, and people 'over there', it seems, could help. But hope still dwindles. A series of thoughts/feelings jumble themselves into a relentless cacophony. Christian include an odd mix of comfort and religeous jargon that adds distress. These are are my clients.

Welcome. I work primarily with couples and couples who are parents. Parenting and marriage play significant roles in our lives and they got harder during Covid. New parents especially are coping with topics that their relatives and friends with older children may have a hard time relating to. I am here to help new parents and couples navigate this transition time as individuals, partners, and parents. I rely heavily on attachment theory, Gottman method techniques for couples and raising emotionally intelligent children, and mindfulness.

Infertility affects every relationship. Your sense of belonging shifts, hopes and dreams are distorted. Holidays and birthdays are rough. Every menstrual cycle is a loss and veins ache from too many blood draws. Medical procedures are traumatic, expensive and emotionally draining. It's difficult to concentrate, be around children and families and your sense of being healthy is altered. Everyone else is getting pregnant and having babies; and you fear the clock is running out. You are not alone! I am compassionately dedicated to counseling women struggling with this life-changing experience.

Are you tired of the non-stop chatter in your head judging every move you make? Is the constant loop of negative thinking making you feel like you are not good enough? No matter how many times you try to talk yourself out of this—you just can't seem to shake it. You are doing all the things you’ve been told to do and yet there is something missing. You feel alone. You feel misunderstood. You feel anxious. You turn to food, alcohol, Netflix, or whatever else that can make these feelings go away. You promise yourself that next week will be different. You will start the new diet, or the new program, you will commit to being a new you.

Sometimes when life throws us a curve ball, or when we are dealing with a more chronic, ongoing challenge, talking to a therapist can help us see our inner strengths and abilities which can help us successfully navigate through these challenging times. Talking to a therapist can also help us push ourselves to reach even greater personal goals.

I’m passionate about helping women transform their lives. Supporting them on their path to growth and healing. Being a woman in today’s modern world is hard. There’s pressure to have a healthy relationship, successful career, to be a good parent, and to be physically and emotionally healthy. High expectations of us take a toll on our minds and our bodies. Many women I work with talk about losing themselves and feeling frustratingly stuck. You want to feel grounded and confident. You need time to look inward and heal. You’re ready to develop a pathway forward, one where you feel hopeful and in control. You're in the right place.

Psychotherapy has a lot to offer to people at any stage in their lives, particularly when they’re going through challenging times. Challenges arise from things that are out of our control and from trauma that we hold from past experiences. Many times, we’re not even aware of what got us to what we are experiencing in the present moment. We’re “stuck” and we don’t know why or we may not even realize we’re “stuck”.

I'm guessing that if you're reading this then you're going through something that's making life difficult and I'm sorry about that. Maybe you're not where you thought you should be, or maybe getting through the day is your only goal. Whatever it is, I believe that therapy can help. It can provide us with some much needed support and encouragement. More importantly, therapy can strengthen and increase our self-esteem and confidence as we navigate relationships, social media, and our futures.
