Are you looking for a therapist who is smart, compassionate and can help you navigate through the often painful aspects of relationship conflicts, grief, illness or challenging life transitions? Do you need help in sorting out and understanding the ways in which you get "stuck" in old patterns?
My aim is to help you better understand (and have more control over) those issues which may be negatively impacting your quality of life.
Such self-understanding can lead to expanded abilities to cope with all sorts of stress, overcome fear and can also improve self-esteem.
I work with adults throughout the life span. Although my orientation is primarily psycho-dynamic, I use cognitive-behavioral and skill-building therapy as well. I am a certified bereavemenent specialist, work with many LBGTQ+ clients, and also have expertise in issues relating to parenting and adoption.
In addition, I have particular expertise in issues around suicide loss and the subsequent bereavement process. Although I'm no longer taking new clients, if you're a suicide loss survivor, I can offer consultation and many resources for this traumatic loss.
