My therapeutic approach is integrative and includes person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. In sessions, I am warm, compassionate, collaborative, and sometimes humorous. I'm here to help you feel a little less overwhelmed and a little more confident after religious trauma. Trauma threatens to overwhelm and take away your sense of safety and wellbeing. Religious trauma and cult groups take our traumatic experience to a whole new level because god, a higher power, or a higher good becomes the traumatizing figure. Yikes. We help religious trauma survivors address their: Codependency and people-pleasing patterns, triggers and nervous system dysregulation, boundaries, lack of direction, grief over the loss of their communities, families, and friends, and confidence and identity issues.

I enjoy helping my clients become their authentic selves in a world that tries its best to control who you are and how you identify. I am here to help my clients live their truth and become comfortable with who they are. I will bring my authentic self to sessions as well, which I would describe as warm, thoughtful, friendly, and casual. I utilize an eclectic approach including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, trauma-focused, EMDR, and strength-based. Our past can shape us, but it doesn’t have to define who we are. I love supporting women through their fight against breast cancer. I have experience working with women in all stages of cancer treatment including working through the initial shock of receiving the diagnosis to transitioning out of treatment into their new normal. I work hard to provide my clients with the space they need to process all aspects of treatment. It is important to me that my clients feel safe and comfortable to share how they feel in an unfiltered and honest way.
