What you resist, persists....This is one of life's biggest lessons: learning how to coexist with and manage emotions rather than fight or run away from them. Any attempt at avoiding the less desirable emotions via alcohol, drugs, food, or sex will be met with more problems (addiction). So what if you did the opposite? What if you allowed yourself to feel, to fully sit with the pain and discomfort? What might happen? A new beginning. It would mean moving forward with an understanding that all emotions are fleeting, and that you've finally learned to embrace what is.

It can feel really good to finally get help, and yet, it can still be hard to accept that you deserve it. Wherever you are in this process, I’ll meet you there. I encourage you to come as you are - bring your anxiety, dark humor, skepticism, anger, hopelessness, and questions; we'll take a closer look together. With a collaborative and authentic approach, I'll both challenge you and honor your pace. I’m not a fixer, but I draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed care to help you help yourself.

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are" (E.E. Cummings) It also takes courage to wade through this directory. And, courage to take the leap of faith to email, text, or call. So, I want you to know I am passionate about helping my clients grow and find out who you really are - and heal from what has kept you from yourself, and others. Becoming is the wondrous journey along the way. Think we may be a match? We may also be a match if you are highly sensitive, parenting a highly sensitive child, or navigating the world of adoption or later in life parenting.

My approach is grounded in the belief that each person has the innate capacity to heal, grow, and access inner resources to change. My role as your therapist is to create a safe space for your healing and change to unfold, and to help you address barriers that prevent you from living life fully. I have witnessed that when we experience growth and healing, we are able to engage in life more authentically, experiencing more joy and less suffering.

As much as you've loved each other, your love may have been eroded by the punishing effects of hurtful fights or growing distance. A repeating negative pattern may have come into your life, and may have led to painful disconnection. The enemy is not you or your partner—it is this negative communication pattern that needs to be understood and transformed in order to regain that sense of ease you once had. Making sense of and working through these stuck points can help rekindle love, intimacy, and a deeper connection within yourself and the others in your life. Understanding these patterns benefits Couples and Individuals alike.
