I believe successful therapy needs to begin with a trusting, compatible relationship between you and me. If we can establish this foundation for treatment then we can move forward to identify your strengths as a unique individual, and work to uncover and resolve the elements in your life that are preventing personal growth and a gratifying lifestyle. I provide an initial free phone consultation, and offer phone sessions. I work on a sliding scale, and am a provider for Medicare, Blue Shield, Magellan, and Humana. I am NOT a provider for Medi-Cal. I can also bill your insurance company excluding your co-pay.
For the past 35 years my emphasis has been on adult, couples, and family psychotherapy, Some of the issues presented to me have been mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, oppositionality, social phobia, and issues involving communication and conflict resolution skills. I have worked with both the minors diagnosed with ADHD, and their parents.
Additionally, I have a broad understanding and compassion for individuals struggling with addiction issues. Although complex, I believe recovery is possible with the support of the anonymous programs, fellowship, and renewed life goals.
