When working with me, you can expect to feel understood, supported, and gently challenged in ways that help you move forward. Therapy is a collaborative space where we slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and identify meaningful shifts that support lasting change. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Stress and anxiety often show up in our bodies and relationships, leaving us feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I also have a special focus on supporting nursing students, nurses, and medical students facing burnout, pressure, or emotional fatigue.

Accepting new clients! Welcome, my name is Liz and I hope I can be the one to help you through whatever hardship is currently on your plate. Congratulations on taking the first step towards getting the help you need and “no longer staying stuck in the suck”. I am more than willing to meet you where you are and help you let go of the fear. It is time to make an active change. Therapy can be intimidating to start, and I am flexible in fitting your needs. I work in partnership with you to help you not only overcome the barriers you are facing, but to rise above them.

Level 3 Trained Gottman Methods Couples Therapy, EMDR-informed, ERP-informed. Contact me about a couples workshop and couples intensives, highly effective! Life can certainly be wild at times. Curveballs can be much easier if you have a person who believes in you, your strengths, and your abilities. I believe we all have endless strengths, we are here, at this moment getting what we need and using our skills to do that. A lot can be said for showing up. We can only go up from here and learn even more skills to improve our lives. That is what therapy can do. Whether these things are big or small, growth is good and you deserve it.

I work with people experiencing chronic anxiety that is eroding confidence, happiness, relationship quality, and fills your life with stress, doubt, and despair. I'll collaborate with you to create meaningful shifts in thought, feeling, action. My approach is short-term, evidenced-based, solution-focused and emphasizes Cognitive-Behavior Therapy. Our work together is designed to produce a solid understanding of your concern, identify core beliefs, key values, goals, and create innovative action plans to help you face fears, accept reasonable uncertainty, and deal effectively with anxiety so you move closer to the life you want.

My approach to working with those who have an anxiety disorder is best described as "evidenced-based," "solution focused," and short-term in nature (i.e., 10-15 sessions). This is NOT "talk therapy", which can last for years, is incredibly expensive, and generally goes nowhere. My sessions employ a "Cognitive-Behavior Therapy" (CBT) emphasis, along with psycho-education concerning the condition being treated. I want those I work with to have a solid understanding of their condition (e.g., OCD, Chronic Worry, Panic, etc.), and their treatment protocol. Sessions typically last up to 1.5 hours, using state-of-the-art skills training.

Life feels too short and fragile to continue to feel, think, and act the way you do. Old patterns get in the way of meaningful relationships, a good job, or achieving your goals. You may have recognized yourself once and no longer do. Thriving has turned into surviving, and you feel drained, lost, and exhausted. The pain of change has finally outweighed the pain of staying the same. You decide you’re ready to close old chapters and begin anew. You’re here to process the past in a new way, create meaning, and learn to believe in yourself. You desire agency over yourself and a life you feel good about living.

Multicultural, Holistic and Intuitive are three words that describes my counseling style. Wherever you are in life, there are experiences that shape and influence our present, some good, some not so good. When you find yourself in that crossroad, in need of discovery, or perhaps in need of closure. The best partners in conversation is someone who can listen and understands your situation.

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck, misunderstood, or burdened by shame due to trauma, identity-related stress, or past experiences. They may be navigating gender identity, sexuality, body image, neurodivergence, or the impact of involvement with the justice system. They want space to be honest without judgment, to better understand their emotions, and to create meaningful change. They are seeking therapy not just to cope, but to grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves and others.

Trusting a mental health professional is the important first step. Impartial and understanding, my core values are to show love and kindness and to understand you, your history both past and present for fresh insight into applying the fitting counseling theory like your narrative. Often we tend to over-use friends and family repeating the problem and subsequently not improving our current situation and even negatively reinforcing the wrong. This isn't just about survival it is about eventually thriving, and this goal will be our, yes our agreed upon target.

Let’s work on creating change together- so that you can develop confidence, learn to cope with difficult thoughts, and show yourself and others true compassion. I love collaborating with clients to identify resources and build solutions. I work with teens and adults who find it easy to show compassion to others, but struggle to show themselves the same level of kindness. They are often helpers, perfectionists, people-pleasers, highly sensitive people, and over-thinkers. A special area of focus of mine is also nursing students/nurses, as well as medical students.
