I graduated from the University of Louisville, with a Master of Science in Social Work and a Military Social Work Specialization, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW). I am skilled in working with veterans and their families, as well as civilians, dealing with multifaceted issues. As a veteran myself, I feel that the experience offers me insight and appreciation to the complexity of issues that may stem from being a part of the military.

I have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults from diverse populations. However, my passion does not limit me from working with other age groups. My goal is to provide a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment for my clients. I am passionate about fighting against stigmas related to counseling within minority/ethnic groups. I believe people should be able to receive services and resources in their own language and as a bilingual practitioner, I provide services for Spanish and English-speaking individuals.

I am dedicated to understanding the psychological mind from various lenses and providing services for any psychological need and any person in need. My ideal client is truly anyone in need of a type of psychological service. This can be anywhere from individual or group therapy, to a securities group needing to train their students on proactive psychological tools to minimize acute trauma response or level three firearms evaluations. While I am well trained in various psychological interventions and skill sets, my specialties include forensic evaluation, psychological and neuropsychological testing, learning style assessment, psychological autopsy, clinical supervision, and military trauma.

In the process of healing and growing, I focus on healing, calming and the natural flow within spirituality, self-love, processing through art, journaling, emotional regulation understanding and mindfulness practices, shadow work, and energy healing.

Life takes us all on a journey we are rarely ready for. Struggling with internal and external pressures can feel lonely and feed into anxiety and depression. Juggling your career, family, friends, and overall health can seem overwhelming sometimes. You don’t have to keep repeating negative thought cycles and/or behaviors that aren’t beneficial. I specialize in mood disorders (particularly Depression with or without self-harm urges), psychotic disorders, and anxiety disorders. I work with adolescents and adults in an individual, couple, group, and family setting. Session work includes cognitive, emotional, and behavior modification.

I have been a licensed social worker since July 2017, but I have been helping New Mexico military families, Veterans, aging population and the homeless for over 12 years. As a military veteran, I understand the struggles with adapting to civilian life, and have experience working with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and coping with stress. I love working with tweens and teens and I have experience with couples and family therapy.
