I love my work. It is such a joy to assist folks in discovering more of who they are, to uncover more of their authentic self. This is what occurs as issues brought to therapy are processed. I enjoy working with adults of all ages although as I age, I have found a special niche for seniors. I have a background in addressing depression, anxiety, stress, life transition and grief as well as feminine power issues.

Life can feel overwhelming when you are carrying too much on your own. Whether it is anxiety that will not quiet down, grief that lingers, or trauma that never fully healed, the weight can leave you feeling stuck and worn down. Therapy offers a chance to step back, breathe, and begin moving forward. I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating behavioral challenges, family conflict, mood disorders, and personal loss.

As a therapist, my mission is to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental relational context so that I can help my clients in the resolution of their profound sense of loneliness and feelings that "no one can understand their pain". Within the therapeutic relationship, I can help my clients in reviewing and correcting maladaptive strategies of self-protection, and in finding ways to feel safe in a world that feels unsafe. I believe therapy can help immensely in resolving emotional self-isolation, and in reconnecting with the resilience, potential, and motivation necessary to work at, and achieve personal aspirations.

Maybe you’ve been pushing through, but something feels off. You might feel a kind of restlessness, anxiety, or numbness that’s hard to name. You want to understand yourself better, not just cope. You’re craving clarity, direction, and a steadier relationship with your own mind. Rather than quick fixes, you want real insight and a place to slow down enough to hear yourself think.

Finding a good therapist is really hard. And even if you find a good one there still might be personality issues or incompatibilities. To be honest, there's not a lot that can be done about this, compatibility issues are real and finding something that works is hard. What I can tell you is that I am a good therapist, I strike a balance between active listening, and giving coaching and clarification of issues when you're stuck spinning in your own head. I practice a non-judgmental approach which means I can call you out without introducing shame or guilt.

You are creative and successful in your career. You've worked hard to achieve; you use your training to help others. You've explored self-help and spiritual programs. Yet it feels like something is missing. You wake in the morning with a feeling of anxiety or dread. In your relationships, you react emotionally rather than respond consciously. Although people enjoy your company, you feel lonely and unhappy. You suspect that the old survival skills you learned to survive a painful childhood are no longer useful. You yearn to change and grow, to live with a calm mind and vitality, and to reclaim the joy that is your birthright.

Hello, very nice to meet you. I am so glad that you are here taking the first step toward change, and making your life happen for you instead of to you. Originally from New York, where all of my degrees were completed, I relocated to Arizona 14 years ago and I am still loving working with patients in the Mental Health field, and of course, I am still enjoying this fantastic sunshine. I love helping people help themselves, plus help people see there is always hope for change. I am a Master of Science level Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPC) in Arizona.

If I were to describe the perfect client I would say that it is someone who has an idea what they want from therapy and is willing to work on their problems. Someone who will act as a partner, in the relationship, and willing to give feedback and be an active participant in therapy.

You've lost sleep too many nights thinking about how this wasn't "the Mom I wanted to be." There are so many things on your mind to concentrate on, but what comes up the most is wondering if life will always be like this? Even though you care for everyone else in your life, you're unsure of how to take care of yourself - or where to even start. Maybe you were hoping you could talk to the people in your life, but "they won't understand" or worse there's concern they may judge you for it. After trying so many things and none of them lasting you've decided to do something different.

If someone asked you to tell them your story, how would you describe the main character? Before they began therapy, my clients often say they felt disconnected and uncertain, like they were a stranger to themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. Clients often begin this process reporting feeling confused by patterns of behavior that have garnered unexpected attention or estranged them from others in the story. Baffled about your circumstances? Feel kept at arms length? Have recent, unexpected circumstances got you disoriented, disillusioned, or less self-confident? Ready to reacquaint yourself with a new story?
