My primary focus is emotional health and well-being by utilizing the Whole Person Concept. This enables clients to make great stride in personal transformation and gains in self-esteem, improvement in the quality of their life at work, in intimate relationships and with family, friends and overcome social anxiety. By utilizing the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach and traditional cognitive behavioral therapy in helping to reframe the presenting problem, we discover new possibilities to cope with life stressors. This process may include Jungian psychology, dream analysis, creative visualization, mindfulness meditation and Art.

I believe change is difficult for most people. We often get stuck in certain patterns of behavior and find it difficult to move forward and heal. Every individual has the ability to change within themselves and it is my role to help guide people along the path of change. It is my goal as a Psychologist to help people capitalize on their strengths and teach them new ways of thinking, behaving, and coping with certain issues. I believe every child, teenager, adult, and family unit are unique and require an special/individualized approach to help them achieve their full potential.

Often it's a crisis or a series of unique events that bring people to therapy. Others may struggle with uncomfortable feelings or feel unsatisfied with patterns in relationships or in other areas of life. Therapy can help. I develop therapy relationships with thoughtfulness, kindness, and an appreciation of the humor in things. My perspectives draw from psychoanalysis, family-systems, socio-cultural contexts, mindfulness, and neurology. I incorporate many techniques; psychodynamic talk therapy, mindful-ness, EMDR, and others.

I welcome adults and adolescents from all walks of life who are struggling with states of anxiety, depression, emptiness, confusion, passivity, and aggression. My focus is on empowerment. When we experience empowerment we begin to take charge of our own lives. We see solutions that we couldn't see before. We begin to experience success in areas where we experienced helplessness only a short time ago. Many of us struggle with strained relationships, difficulties in communicating emotions and needs, hard choices, and losses from estrangement and alienation. Many of us have been traumatized in so many ways.

Congratulations on taking the first step on the journey toward healing, self-discovery, and growth! Often times, seeking support comes with a mixed bag of emotions and barriers, making it very challenging to even begin the process. We can easily become a product of our circumstances, getting lost in survival mode or our comfort zones, but life is too short to get stuck there and that's where I come in. Having navigated my own hardships and traumas, I know how complex it can be to recover, heal, and move forward. It is without a doubt one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, experiences and you are worth it!

My ideal client is someone who struggles with (type(s) of addictions), experiences (forms of anxiety or stress), mood swings of highs and lows and often feels (emotionally trapped, overwhelmed, or burned out) by the pressures of sports/career/performance setting. They may also have patterns of codependency and find it difficult to create space for themselves, especially with limited access to healthy escapism or downtime.

Are You Feeling Stuck? Sometimes the strategies and coping mechanisms that once protected you from pain or hardship can become the very things that hold you back. Over time, they may interfere with your well-being, your relationships, and your ability to connect with your community. When we’re caught in cycles of stress or trauma, it’s common to develop narratives rooted in blame—of others or of ourselves. But healing begins when we start to understand the deeper biological, psychological, and social factors at play. By recognizing that help is necessary I am able to assist  you in moving towards solutions .

You’ve always known you're different: you're fast thinking, creative, and over-stimulated. As a child, you may have been the daydreamer, a procrastinator, fidgety, or the one who could do everything except focus when it mattered. You may be late diagnosed with ADHD and you’re tired of trying to “fix” yourself through effort & perfectionism. I'm neurodivergent, so I've lived the pain. I work with adults who grew up masking, people-pleasing, or pushing past their limits. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are; it’s about understanding your wiring, building nervous system resilience, and creating a life that feels authentic.

Life can bring unexpected challenges and our usual coping mechanisms may not always be effective. This doesn't signify defeat; it simply means we need to explore. My ideal client is someone who is ready to work on themselves through personal reflection and desire to make change. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with life challenges, including anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self esteem, and life transitions.

Hi, I’m Grazi (she/her), and I’m glad you’re here. With more than 25 years of experience as a therapist, I work with teens and young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or depression, or navigating challenges with relationships, school, or life transitions. Sometimes people reach out on their own, while other times a parent helps start the process. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
