Fortitude can be cultivated through adversity; and while life experiences are chapters in our story, they do not define who we are or how the story must end. The passion I have for reflecting light and empowering strength in others is rooted in my personal story and testimony of resilience despite adversity. I have witnessed and experienced the power, meaning, and value of commitment to growth and healing and I firmly believe in the therapeutic process and its results. We all deserve the opportunity to see a reflection of our inner strengths and experience a sense of empowerment for personal growth and healing.

You may be here because something in your life no longer works. Anxiety has taken over. A relationship is unraveling. Grief, trauma, illness or fear has narrowed your world. Or perhaps you are high-functioning on the outside , yet privately exhaused, stuck or quietly suffering.
I want you to know something important: you are Not broken. And you do not have to live this way.
For over 40 years, I have helped people who feel overwhemed by problems that seem endless. Many come to me after trying other therapies that didn't quite reach the heart of what was wrong. What they discover is-how to respond differently from the inside out.

If you’re a man struggling in your relationships—whether with a partner, family, or friends—and feeling unsure about what’s expected of you today, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re trying to be more open or compassionate but aren’t sure how. You might be here because someone urged you to get help, and even if you’re unsure about therapy, you know something needs to shift. I support men in finding clearer, more grounded ways to connect when the old approaches no longer work.

Don't you wish there was an on and off switch for our thoughts/feelings? Are you exhausted of over-worrying and wondering if people are judging you? It can be distressing how our mind can play tricks on us. Anxiety is a response to stress or uncertainty, but when it starts to interfere with your daily life, it can be tough to manage on your own. You don’t have to. Together, we can work to explore what triggers your anxiety, how it affects you, and find strategies that help you cope in a way that feels manageable and safe for you by understanding your thought processes, enhancing confidence, self-compassion, and understanding.

I’m so glad you’re here. I invite you into a space where we can co-create room for your most authentic, unmasked self. Together, we can laugh, cry, pause, and explore who you are and who you are becoming. If you’re feeling dissociated, overwhelmed, or lost in the weight of life, we’ll walk your path side-by-side to help you find your footing again.
I value the therapy of presence, play, and curiosity, and our sessions may take many forms. They can be talking while creating art or working on a puzzle, practicing mindful breathing to build resilience, or exploring difficult (or special-interest) topics in ways that feel grounding.

One of the greatest powers we hold is the ability to choose one thought over another. It's not just our circumstances that shape us, but how we interpret and respond to them. While change can feel overwhelming, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we can work to cultivate mental clarity, mindfulness, and resilience—so you can begin experiencing life through a renewed lens. I believe there's strength in every person, even when it feels out of reach. In our darkest moments, we often lose sight of our own capabilities. Wherever you are on your journey, there is always another path forward—and healing is possible.

Hey there, I am so glad you're here. I get it, life can be tough sometimes, and it can be even harder to talk about it. I tend to work with individuals like you, struggling to figure out what to do next, and just looking for a way up. Many of my clients are wonderful at knowing what's wrong, but struggle to figure out what to do about it - very aware of their own behaviors, but don't know how to not "do the thing" they didn't want to do - people who truly want to cultivate kindness and authenticity, but struggle to find it in their lives.

Are you considering therapy but have concerns about finding the "right" therapist or type of treatment? These are important considerations and the decision to seek therapy is a big step. The patient-therapist relationship is a critical component of therapy and it is important to choose as therapist that is a "good fit" for you. Every individual is unique with his/her own personal story and goals. Therefore, therapy must be tailored to the individual. I have training and experience in multiple therapeutic approaches (CBT, REBT, DBT, psychodynamic)

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
