This has been Jamie’s experience in her own life as well as through the training she received and the counseling she has done thus far. Jamie was born in and spent much of her childhood in South America. In addition to speaking Spanish, this experience cultivated an appreciation for connecting with individuals from all different backgrounds. Jamie graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University. Once she obtained licensure (LMSW) from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health; she completed a 1 year training program that exposed her to DBT, CBT, ACT and prolonged exposure therapy. This training allows Jamie to modify her approach to fit the unique needs of each individual.
