I help clients understand their symptoms and learn methods of coping. I also encourage clients to create meaning for their experiences and grow as a result. I assist clients in assigning meaning to hallucinations and/or intrusive thoughts so that they can use appropriate methods to take back control, including use of client's spiritual beliefs and practices as well as CBT and DBT methods.

Trauma comes in many forms and can have an adverse impact on all of us. One of my specialties is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy; this is the gold standard for treating trauma and other mental health challenges. EMDR can help in so many presentations and it helps us address the root of the problem, not just symptoms. Other areas of focus include treatments for depression, anxiety, addictions, and social challenges. Interpersonal relationship challenges include boundaries, family conflict, and codependent behaviors. I do work with families and couples and offer marriage intensives.
