I help Latter-day Saints who struggle with a kind of obsessive compulsive disorder called scrupulosity find peace in their spiritual lives. My clients are worried that they're not worthy, not good enough or not living up to church standards. Many also struggle in their most important relationships, including wondering whether they've married the right person. They also struggle with other OCD themes in addition to scrupulosity and are worried that their anxiety and perfectionism are getting in the way of living the life they want.

Have you been experiencing a gap between the reality you are living and the life you want to live? Throughout our lives, we will face constant exposure to reality gaps— the reality we live versus the reality we want. Because of this, feelings of pain are inevitable. It’s my belief that feeling pain, unhappiness, and dissatisfaction with your life doesn’t mean you’re defective; it means you’re human. Despite this human condition, psychological suffering is not your life’s purpose. Living a rich, full, and meaningful life is.

I have worked in mental health since 2006. I have worked in several different settings and with several different populations. I enjoy working with kids, teens, adults, families, and elderly. I enjoy helping clients work through their struggles, through teaching coping skills, mindfulness, reducing symptoms, and improving overall functioning. I work hard at helping normalize issues and helping others to know that they do not have to face their battles alone.

I strongly believe in the facet of the human spirit which is indomitable. This quality traverses culture and ethnicity, and so often plays a major role in recovery. The concept of radical acceptance invites individuals to embrace a regret of the past and fear of the future as part of the human experience while discovering what they truly value as they achieve treatment goals working toward sustainable mental health. As individuals learn to accept the fear that accompanies risk, the journey towards healing is a remarkable one to witness and, for me, is the true payoff as a therapist.

Brene Brown said, "sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up." Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but showing up for yourself is a courageous first step. I specialize in working with couples and young adults who want stronger, more secure relationships. Whether you’re dating, engaged, newly married, or navigating a long-term partnership, therapy can help you move from defensiveness and disconnection to clarity and emotional closeness.

Life is hard. Reaching out for help is a huge step, especially when you are in the lows of depression or throes of anxiety. I strive to offer my clients a safe place where they can explore and process difficult emotions. You don't have to figure out everything on your own! While in-person therapy has many upsides, teletherapy is accessible, including the convenience of no travel time to an office and meeting from the comfort of your home (or a parking lot during lunchtime). I currently offer teletherapy only to clients located in Kansas, Utah, and Missouri.

I specialize in trauma. I believe that therapy is a collaboration to help gain insight into that that trauma. I'm certified in EMDR and have trained in Ketamine therapy. I believe that therapy should be a good experience, but sometimes reality means we'll first have to revisit the pain in order to heal. Sometimes we get stuck in our stuff and its hard for us to see it. Hopefully we can do that together from a safe and secure place. I believe it's important and an on-going process to build a life that we love. Call me for a free consultation. (Click on my website to schedule).

Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, sadness, or low self-esteem? These feelings are often linked to past events that keep us looping in our lives. EMDR therapy can help you reprocess through those memories and emotions that have left you feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Many times we feel like we understand logically how we want to feel, but our bodies don't seem to agree. EMDR can help bring your body and brain into alignment.

Therapy is a chance to uncover new perspectives, reduce stress, and build healthier patterns that support both your child’s growth and your family’s well-being.
