I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, specifically the San Fernando Valley. I grew up with parents who had immigrated from El Salvador to escape the civil war that was happening during the 80s. Growing up as a child of immigrants taught me early on to honor the richness of people’s stories and to approach every background with respect and curiosity. I am truly honored to work with you throughout this journey.
I recognize that every person’s story is unique, and the same experiences can impact us in very different ways.

I believe a meaningful life is based in connection: with others, with yourself, and with the values that matter most to you. I strive to create a supportive, compassionate atmosphere where you can develop and build these connections. I particularly enjoy working with women’s issues, faith transitions, LGBTQIA+ wellness, body image issues, and depression and anxiety. I believe that "healing isn't about getting rid of the 'bad parts,' it's about learning to love and accept all of our parts" (Richard Schwartz).

I have always been interested in people’s stories, understanding how they see the world as they do, and how they have overcome challenges. Each of us has a rich, often complicated history that led us to the present moment. As a psychologist, it is an honor and privilege to get to know my patients’ histories, understand what got them here, and help them to be who they want to be in the world.

You are of great worth. Each person is of great worth. When any of us lose the recognition of our worth, despair and hopelessness can take over. Anyone facing these, or like challenges, may benefit from professional help. If you or a loved one seek improvement, you have resources right here. If you will share your world and your journey, the sense of great worth can be restored and sustained. Options include traditional therapy as well as equine therapy.

Hello, I'm Brynn, and I'm so happy you found me. I know you may feel like you’re ready to commit to giving therapy a try. But perhaps there is some fear as well. Maybe you’ve had a bad experience with therapy in the past. Or maybe you were raised to think negatively about seeking mental health help. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and make you feel heard. My goal is to help those I work with feel empowered and hopeful. To do that we may use EMDR, and other ways to help connect those parts of you that may feel disconnected. So let’s talk through some of the things you’ve been feeling and come up with a plan together.

Do you often feel like you’re never doing enough or that you’re falling short, no matter how hard you try? Many college students and adults carry the impact of past experiences or trauma, showing up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, excessive guilt, and critical self-talk. I help clients feel less stuck by reconnecting with their values, building self-compassion, and creating a more grounded, authentic way forward.

You've been carrying this longer than you should have to. Maybe it started as
stress that quietly became something heavier — anxiety that won't quiet down, a relationship that feels more like a standoff than a partnership, or a version of yourself you barely recognize anymore. Perhaps trauma from years ago keeps
bleeding into today. Whatever brought you here, you're not broken — you're
exhausted from trying to figure this out alone. I work with adults and teens across Utah who are ready to stop managing and start actually healing. Real
change is possible, and it usually happens faster than people expect.

I currently work conducting primarily assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. This typically includes the completion of psychological evaluations, parenting evaluations, substance use assessments, domestic violence assessments, comprehensive Autism assessments, learning disorder assessments, and intellectual testing.

We often carry our heaviest burdens in the quietest moments. You do not have to navigate the conflict between your religion and sexual orientation alone. I specialize in helping gay, same-sex attracted, and bisexual men and women find peace amidst the unique pressures of the Latter-day Saint experience and other deeply held faith traditions.
Whether you are navigating a faith transformation, trauma, depression, or anxiety, it is exhausting to hold it together when you feel like you're falling apart inside. This is a path I understand deeply—personally and professionally. You are not meant to carry this alone.
