I focus primarily on members of the LGBTQ community. This population has very specific and unique needs, regardless of which "letter" they identify with, or maybe even no label at all. I believe sexuality and gender are both based on a spectrum, that neither are binary or necessarily solid for all people. While some people may believe they were born a certain way and will never change, others may experience fluidity throughout their lives.
As a member of this community myself, I offer specific insight and personal experience from which I base my practice. I have professional experience with individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, queer, and those who are questioning. I've also worked with polyamorous and other relationally nontraditional individuals.
Although being a member of the LGBTQ community offers its own rewards, it's not always easy. I look forward to working with you as you navigate the challenges that come with it. Whether it be newly out, transitioning, family rejection, faith crisis, or trauma, I have the skills and experience to make it all feel just a little bit easier.
