Do you wake up every morning and think "I can’t get out of bed”? It seems like too much right now! You peel yourself out of bed anyway, because you know you have to get going. You have to do all the “things” to make the world function for the humans in your life, but some days it feels like too much. You think this shouldn’t be this hard. I should know what to do and yet you still don’t make any change. You turn on the podcasts and the audiobooks, but no matter how many you listen to you just cannot get yourself to make lasting change. If you could just talk this out maybe you would not feel so stuck and so alone.

Life feels like a series of fires. As a young man/young adult man (14-35), you might be numbing out with video games, porn, or substances because the real world feels like a rigged game. You’re tired of the guilt following outbursts or broken trust. You want respect and control. To the parents: I know the exhaustion of watching your son slip away behind a wall of disrespect or addiction. You’ve tried everything and feel met with silence. Deep down, you both want the same thing: to lift the weight of these "shortcuts" and rebuild a life of purpose. You aren't broken—you're navigating a path that has become overwhelming.

I believe every woman, man and child has infinite value and worth. Whether we have experienced feelings of worthlessness because of our own actions or because of the actions of others, developing self-love is the pathway toward true joy. When we experience trauma, we develop false ideas about ourselves and the world that keep us in a place of fear, anger, and hopelessness. We make decisions based on those beliefs that cause ourselves and others despair. When we learn to love ourselves completely, we can find true healing within ourselves and the world in a deeply powerful way.

My name is CJ and I am an experienced Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I enjoy working with clients who are open and willing to learn and try new ways of thinking and behaving. My hope is that clients don't enter therapy looking for somebody to simply tell them what to do; I don't believe that's my role as a clinician. Instead, effective therapy is about collaborative partnership. Remember, you are the expert on you. I want to utilize that expertise to work with you to create and move towards your goals. Much of my work is focused on helping youth and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, anger and addiction.

Welcome! If you’re here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or even exhausted from navigating life’s challenges alone. You may be struggling with anxiety that seems to take over your days, battling addiction, or feeling isolated in a world that doesn’t fully recognize the beauty and complexity of neurodivergence. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to face these challenges on your own.

You may be my ideal client if you’re navigating grief, loss, trauma, or life transitions and find yourself weighed down by doubt, shame, or a sense of disconnection from who you truly are. You might be carrying stories—often imposed by others—that no longer serve you. These false narratives can leave you feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed by the demands of caregiving, illness, or the complexities of everyday life. Your goals may include finding peace, rediscovering your identity, or simply learning how to breathe again after life has knocked the wind out of you.
