I have many years of experience treating a multitude of addictions and mental health disorders. I specialize in sex addiction and as an EMDR trauma therapist as well. I am happily married and have three kids. My favorite past time is spending time with my family and going out with my hunting dog "Cooper."

I hold a teaching degree in Secondary Education and a MA in Psychology, and have owned and run my own private mental health practice since 1984.

With over 20 years in behavioral health and dual diagnosis treatment, I designed and founded the Utah Addiction Centers. I have considerable experience and success working with individuals who struggle with pornography addiction issues, anxiety, depression, self esteem and other distorted and irrational beliefs of themselves and their experiences in life that results in struggles with daily functioning and coping strategies. The client that is the best fit is one who is motivated to make personal life changes, family restructuring change or who may be ordered to complete counseling for court/work obligations. Youth who meet the criteria for NOJOS work (sexual reactive/active) levels 1-4. Three offices to meet your need located along the Wasatch Front. We offer Telehealth to new and existing clients on a HIPPA compliant platform. All new client paperwork and payments can be made directly on the platform.

I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with over 15 years in the mental health field. Additionally, I am a NOJOS (Network on Juvenile Offending Sexually) affiliate therapist. I have worked in residential treatment, child welfare and private practice.

I also use Internal Family Systems, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Experiential Therapy to help clients maximize their personal mental health as well as relationship goals. I effectively use my training in Gottman and Emotionally Focus Therapy to assist couples by providing premarital counseling, relationship counseling, and overall tune ups for individual relationship skills.
