I have an extensive background in helping older adults navigating the complications life brings and the emotions that accompany them. This includes everything from rehabilitation after a medical issue or injury, dealing with grief or loss, changing roles at home and in the workplace, and maintaining a sense of purpose throughout every stage of life. My goal is to help you gain insight, solve problems, and make the changes you wish to see in your life.
Empowerment, understanding and a collaborative atmosphere are key elements in my work. I use an eclectic approach, based on what might best suit you and the goals you wish to accomplish in therapy. In doing so I combine techniques from various therapies including cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, and strengths perspective.
I've been in practice for 15 years and have worked extensively with older adults, adults, teens, couples, and families. I'm experienced in treating mood (depression/anxiety), personality, and psychological disorders. I also make house calls for clients for whom driving is not possible.
