3/04 update: currently accepting new clients both in person and virtually. You have a lot of the “right” boxes checked, but it sure doesn’t feel that way. Instead there is a heaviness, a sense of discontentment, and way too much time in your head. All that thinking doesn’t solve the problem, it just repeats the same things, the same worries. The more time you spend in your head the less time you are spending with the people, and things you love. You’re not enjoying things the way you want, and things are feeling disconnected. The things that are supposed to help just don’t seem to be working here.

Welcome to Empoder Therapy! I use an intersectional, empowerment, and trauma-informed approach in my work with a strong emphasis on psychoeducation. I believe in a balance of processing as well as learning new skills to improve your mental health for the short and long term. I hope to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment (with an appropriate use of humor) for our work together. The therapy relationship is the most important factor in client success, so I prioritize our connection and trust.

I especially enjoy working with couples navigating difficulties with communication and connection. I use an attachment lens, acknowledging that our most intimate relationships bring up intense emotions. I focus on creating the conditions to increase safety and authentic vulnerability so partners can connect in new ways. When working with individuals, I welcome all parts of you - your daily anxieties, transformations and realizations, grief, relationships, pleasure, and trauma. I want to help you discover your embodied sense of a life well lived so that you feel aligned in the world.

I work with individuals on trauma, sexual abuse, healthy relationships and sexuality, and identifying and implementing boundaries. I work with children, adolescence, and adults. I understand how larger systems and our social fabric often shape our individual experiences. In our work together, I believe that you have autonomy in your healing and my role is to support and encourage you through that. I have experience working with children, adolescence, and adults. I see both survivors and offenders, which allows me to work with both sides of trauma.

Living a full, satisfying, and authentic life is rarely something that comes from an unexamined life in modern times. It's not easy to understand who we are, what we want and don't want, and even what is important to us. But it is not impossible, and if you are willing to take the plunge into the journey of self-discovery, finding peace, letting go, moving on, finally asking for more, or whatever else is holding you back in life, I am honored to walk your path with you. Humility and honoring thy self are cornerstones of how I like to work with my clients.

Accepting new clients in 2026, both in-person and telehealth. Depression, stress, fear, anxiety, and trauma are some of the most uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. We often find ourselves stuck, frozen, and unable to move forward, yet it hurts to stay exactly where we are. Conflict, stress, life changes, resentment, infidelity, focusing on the "business" side of family and running a home, can all drive couples into their own silos and erode emotional connection.

“Who am I?” “What is my purpose?” “I can’t move on.” If you experience or have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, or grief, you are not alone. I understand how hard it can be to ask for help. I believe that having someone in your corner to both validate and challenge you is essential to personal growth. Self-discovery is possible—piecing together the mosaic of your life to serve as a window to your past and a guide to your future.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile. As a holistic therapist, I work intuitively and collaboratively with empaths and spiritually attuned souls seeking healing, clarity, and a deeper connection. I offer a grounded approach to support those navigating anxiety, self-worth, boundaries, relationships, spiritual awakening, and life transitions. Many empaths develop early protective patterns that later feel misaligned or no longer serve them. Together, we’ll gently explore and shift these, inviting healing and reconnection with your inner self.

I view each client as a person worthy of being seen, heard, and valued. I utilize a strengths-based approach with the belief that each client is capable of change and healing. Alongside other therapeutic modalities, I implement CBT, DBT, mindfulness, EMDR, IFS, and person-centered strategies with a trauma-informed approach. I believe that a spiritual connection can be very healing, and I am able to integrate spirituality into sessions through an existential or Christian perspective if requested. Spiritual integration is completely up to the client, and I am able to work with individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs.

I’m so glad you’re here. It can feel isolating and, at times, even shameful to face the challenges in our lives. If you're even considering therapy, I already see the courage in you. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection—with ourselves, others, and the systems we move through.

You will find me to be an authentic & direct therapist that will focus on your values & strengths to guide the therapy process. My philosophy is that therapy is the space to get into how & why what you’re trying to do differently isn't working, (because you probably already have enough people willing to tell you) what you should be doing with your life. I won’t promise that therapy will make the hard stuff in your life go away, but what I know it can do is help you find a way through the hard stuff with meaning & help build resilience.

Whatever you are facing, you are more than the problems you seek to resolve. Your desire to change your experience of life is evidence of the self-care and push for growth within you. Together, we will explore your values, strengths, and what brings you joy. To the extent you choose, we will examine the challenges, difficult emotions, and patterns of behavior - formed for good reason - that are no longer working for you. I seek to provide a welcoming, supportive space where all aspects of the self can be experienced and expressed.
