At times we can get lost in figuring out how to navigate the difficulties in our lives, leading to points of “stuckness” which can feel scary, painful, isolating, and defeating. If your curiosity has brought you here, I gently invite you to lean into that as this is the first step into unlocking what’s possible. I’m passionate about working with motivated individuals and couples who struggle with perfectionism, shame, depression, anxiety, past traumas, low confidence, life transitions, relationship and family conflict, infidelity, divorce, or separation.

I am working towards my clinical licensure in Colorado as a resident clinician with Centus Counseling. I am passionate about serving traditionally underserved individuals and communities of all ages, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. I work with a trauma-informed lens that is person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I offer a nonjudgmental, safe space for collaboration together to help individuals find their authentic self. I recognize that the process towards self-empowerment is not easy, and that small steps can lead to large changes that help one move from survival mode to thriving.

Hello! Congratulations on taking this first step towards healing which I know can feel overwhelming. Trauma and stress can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the world around us. I aim to provide a brave, empowering, and validating space to process present concerns and to reconnect with oneself, others, and feelings that you may have been told you cannot or should not feel. Our work together may include processing the ongoing stress of a chronic medical condition, coping with anxiety, recovering from past and/or current trauma, or learning to cope with the loss of a loved one.

I love working with adults who are curious about themselves and who are ready to look at their past, including any trauma that has impacted their life. I am trained in EMDR which is a powerful treatment modality that helps process traumatic or distressing events and memories. I use assessments that have been validated and researched to ensure that I understand what you are going through. As we work together, I will ask about what is working best for you and will tailor my approach as needed. Please note: this Psychology Today Profile is maintained by my employer, SKB Therapy. Telehealth only at this time.

Trauma, abuse, and grief can greatly impact how we function on a day to day basis. Everyone's experiences are unique and individual. There may be times where you cannot explain why this or that happened and that can feel both confusing and frustrating. Has something like this ever happened to you before? Through counseling, we can explore different modalities and evidenced based research to locate the roots of this confusion and frustration.

My goal as a therapist is to help my clients enact meaningful change to improve the quality of their lives. I use a variety of modalities customized to your concerns and presenting problems so that therapy is not only effective but efficient as well. I believe it is ultimately my job to make myself obsolete and I am always happy when my clients feel they have integrated enough of therapy that they no longer "need" it.

Hello, I'm here to help. Life is filled with what I consider "tiny deaths". Moments of transition (good or bad). Change can be anticipated, or an unexpected surprise. These events are complimented with complex emotions. Feelings including but not limited to: confusion, rage, grief, stress, anxiety, anger, fear, and loss. My goal is to assist those with processing. I have many clients that do this in an individual capacity, or with their partner/loved one. Allow me to create a space to unpack these changes, along with the inevitable restructuring of your individual identity or relationship as it evolves.

Having practiced as a transpersonal art psychotherapist since 2005, I now step fully into a new role as a coach/mentor/guide or as I like to say, a modern-day Alchemist. Into the alchemical vessel of my new practice, I carry to you a cauldron of swirling offerings - a combination of deep, tender-hearted conversation, curiosity-led soul-stalking, dreamwork using both waking and nighttime symbols and images, an invitation to experience art making as a way of tapping into your truest-knowing, guidance to woo and connect with plant allies, inspiration for taking on the World as your Lover, support for self-designing ceremonies and more.

How can I find a therapist in 80212?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist, psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
